Best air mattress I have ever had. Kids literally use it every week. Easy to inflate. No leaks. Cover is awesome.
We bought two of these more than a year ago for our then 5 and 3 year olds for when we travel and stay the night at friends houses or hotels. I have bought MANY air mattresses over the last 20 years, but have never bought an Aero because of the cost. For the kids, however, knowing how rambunctious they can be, I decided higher quality might be in order, so I bought these. We have had them for more than a year. Turns out we use them more at home than anything. The kids LOVE these, and love to sleep in various rooms around the house on them instead of in their own beds. Many times one will drag their aero into the others room so they can both sleep in the same room. On other more "special occasions" they both get to drag them into our room and sleep in there. The pump: Awesome and quick! Plug it in, it doesn't turn on. Twist it onto the nozzle of the bed, it magically turns on and fills the bed up quickly! Packs away in the bed back for easy storage and portability. The mattress: Awesome and durable. Like I said, we've had it for more than a year. The kids sleep on them WAY more than they should. These are slept on easily 3-4 times per week. They remain aired up for weeks at a time, and some how do not lose air! I honestly don't know how these things do it because every other air mattress I have had always loses air quickly. They must be hard to puncture or pop too. For as much use as they get, with kids standing on them, jumping onto them, etc., they are very durable. Small enough to fit into smaller spaces, large enough to fit a full sleeping bag on, and to fit my just-turned-7 year old who is 48 inches tall, and he still has room to grow with this mattress. The "rim" around the mattress is enough of a bump to help keep kids contained, but not big enough to create an uncomfortable ridge around.Mattress cover: This is one of my favorite things. Everyone knows that plasticy air mattresses are uncomfortable and can make you cold and/or make you sweat. These come with a thick fleece cover that securely wraps around them. When I deflate the mattresses I leave this on and roll them up for storage and this creates a soft cushion as they are rolled and stored.Storage bag: Not much to say here, but it's really nice that they come with a carry/storage bag. It's big enough that you don't have to roll the bed up too tight, and it easily fits the pump, etc.Downside: If I had to pick something to complain about, it's that they are a bit squeaky since they are plasticy. So if the kids are sleeping in our room and they roll around, I can hear it squeak (but I am a light sleeper, my wife never hears them.) Even with the mattress cover on, and other blankets they still make squeaking noises when the kids move on them. But my assumption is any other kid air mattress does the same.

4 Years later, still going strong
Original Review:Note - mattress cover is not as pictured - the one we received had a cute stars and moons pattern on it. Very adorable, but not pure white as shown. We recently bought a second one of these Aerobeds for our younger child. We use this whenever we are sleeping away from home - so often we stay with relatives and there aren't enough beds for everyone kids included. We used to use a typical full size adult air mattress for them, but when you get near the edge of a regular mattress, you tend to roll off and the kids would constantly be falling off. The dip in this makes it rollproof, and the smaller size is great for being able to tuck them beside a bed or wherever there is space when visiting grandma's house or going on vacation!Blowing it up is quick and easy - the included pump blows the whole thing up in less than a minute. It rolls back up easily too and stows neatly in the included bag.My kids are 4 and 2, and I'm thinking we can easily use these for many years to come before they will be outgrown. Heck, I could probably sleep on it, as I sleep curled up on my side.Edited Review 4 years later - I bought these mattresses in 2007, we have used them lots, for camping as well as every time we visit the grandparents. We tell them not to, but the kids walk over them, jump on them, they still are going strong. My daughter is now 8, and is over 51" tall and my son is 6 and is 48" tall and they both still fit fine in them, since they tend to curl up as they sleep (at this point if they lay completely flat and straight their feet are on the end of the bed. I have no plans to replace them yet!August 2013 - Back again. I am sad to say that the Aerobeds have finally quit, after 6 years they do seem to have finally developed a slow leak so that they need to be refilled each day to keep them full enough. Considering we do use them frequently, for camping and trips to grandparents houses, etc and they lasted 6 years I would buy them again. My kids are older now though (8 and 10) and while they fit on them now it probably doesn't make sense to buy this size again, we'll probably upgrade to a twin size. I wish they made a twin size with the sides!

Awesome bed
We bought this product for our 21 month old for vacation. He is too big for a pack-and-play and the place where we were staying did not have a crib. Our son is used to taking naps on a cot at daycare, so we thought we would give this a try.I read another review where the individual was concerned about their child falling off the bed. Let's face it, this product is not rated for a child younger than 2 or 3, so you have to be aware of this. Our son still moves all around the bed while sleeping so he did inch his way off of it one night. The bed is so close to the ground though that it didn't even wake him up. I just picked him up and put him back on it. He's only rolled off once. The bed is big and durable. He jumps up and down on it sometimes and we haven't had a leak or tear. In fact, once it was pumped up on vacation, we didn't need to add any air for the entire 8 days he slept on it. We all really like the soft fleece cover which stays in place nicely with two attached bands. The bed blows up in about 10 seconds and you can deflate it and have it packed in less than a minute. We're thrilled to have such a nice product which should last us for another 3-4 years depending on his height. We have been using adult size Aerobeds for years, so we're sure this one will last as well. I would receommend this product to anyone with children.
