Nature's Plus 30 65074 Herbal Actives Extended Release Red Yeast Rice (600mg)

I took this product for one month and had a lipid blood test done. Prior to that my total cholesterol was 252 with an LDL level of 151 and HDL 93. Now after taking Nature's Plus Red Yeast Rice Extended my levels are as follows: total cholesterol 198 (dropped 54 points!), LDL 87 (dropped 64 points!) and HDL 100 (increased 7 points). My HDL ratio is 2.0 -- amazing results!! I am flabbergasted! I knew this was good stuff and I was hoping it would work for me, but I didn't expect such tremendous results! No statin drugs, no side effects and wonderful levels! This is a great product that I will continue to use and recommend to people who need to lower their cholesterol levels naturally.

First off, I have used this product many years ago, never encountered a problem with it and had very good success in lowering my cholesterol. So fast forward to this week when I received my order and I looked at the pills, noticing right away the color difference between long ago and now, it is huge! These pills used to be a very deep dark maroon color and smaller as well, meaning it had more of the cholesterol lowering property in it, the color of the new tablets is very light, almost a little dark pink but not maroon! Now comes the clincher, unless you have a throat the size of a horse, you will be fine swallowing these humongous tablets, way, way bigger then what they used to be and I am not talking about the mini’s here, I am talking about the regular tabs I purchased. I got them down with milk which made them slide a little easier, but it felt like the tablet got stuck in my esophagus because it was so large! I didn’t get any muscle pain or dizziness with these tablets like I do from RX statin, however let me tell you, I got a motherload of heartburn with it that lasted all night long no matter what I took, keeping me awake and still lasted most of the next day as well, I was miserable! I never had that happen with the old tabs I used to purchase years ago, don’t know what Natures Plus changed, but what I do know is that I will never ever buy these tablets again, I threw the whole bottle in the trash, in other words, cash in the trash. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I myself did not have a good experience taking this particular brand of Red Yeast Rice and want to warn people (especially women who by nature have smaller throats than men) to be very careful when swallowing this ginormous pills, IF even possible at all to be doing it, I almost couldn’t!!!

I take it with 5mg of restovastin and it lowered by cholesterol to the normal range when prior I always had very high choleserol. I recommend trying it rather than high dose cholesterol lowering medicines as it might work well for you also.

Arrived just as promised in perfect condition. Only Just wish a larger quantity plus the mini tabs version had been available . The Suppliment is very difficult for me to swallow!

Lowered my cholesterol 60 to 100 pts depending on the measurement, in conjunction with Enduracin brand Niacin, better than either did alone by a lot. But both need MD monitoring; and this IS a statin by its nature. Consumer Lab rates this as the highest/purest monacolin content (active lovastatin type ingredient) and found no dangerous citrinin impurity. Im an MD. I recommend it as long as you work with your own MD
