Jebao CW-55 Pond and Aquarium Clarifier, 55-watt

I have been so pleased with the Jebao CW-55 Here are some tips on keeping your unit trouble free. Always use the correct pluming fittings to avoid leaks. I use white teflon tape on my fitting connections. Keep your unit out direct sun light! This will prevent damage to the plastic material breaking down though the years of use. Always remove your unit in winter time. I run my two units 12 hours per day and 7months out of the year. I have run these units for over 5yrs and have had very few issues. Replaced 2 Bulbs and 1 ballast. When I first started learning about my pond my water looked ugly with in a week. I tried chemicals,water changes and other options NOTHING WORKED! Then I installed The Jebao CW-55 WOW! My water remains Crystal Clear And Clean all season long. I really enjoy seeing my colorful koi fish in such a Crystal Clear Water. I've run this light on my pond for a year and half. It's been sitting outside in the shade, with a strong pump running through it.1. Works excellent for keeping the water crystal clear of algae. No leaks from any of the connections.2. Bulb was easy to remove and look at. Did not need to change the bulb from what it was shipped with.3. This is a concentrated UV light. On the underside where the plastic connects to each of the feet, the plastic has gone soft. I noticed a small leak near the seam last month and sealed it up. Now the plastic has started leaking again in the spot a little further up. All along the base of the tubing, you're able to push in on the plastic.All together, I'd give it a 4/5 stars. It needs a better inside liner to protect against the UV light. I'll buy another and put it in a container that connects back to the pond. Just incase.

Great light at an excellent price. My built in light on my filter went out and purchased this as a replacement and my 3000 gallon pond was crystal clear in just two days.

It’s definitely a used light, the uv light never lit, the bulbs socket and prongs were rusted ,probably from the chip in the glass that protects the uv light. The glass that protects the uv light from water was covered in green algae, , my guess they unplugged light from wherever they used it and packaged and sold it to me , the light never work at all very sad

I have only had it a couple of weeks and the bulb is burned out

Very good UV clarifier, I really liked it, Lots of updates on the product , design, Thank you Fish pond really starting to clear up, green algae starting to disappear, Thank you and I love it.

Hard to get it so it doesn’t drip, had to use Teflon tape on the threads…was used for a 3000 gallon fish pond.

I had a previous model of this one for 5 years but I let it freeze bought new one but transport blew the bulb out changed it with my spare bulbs works like the original

The UV unit was so poorly made that I could not open the unit to replace the bulb if I needed to. For this reason I returned it.
