A top quality cycling shoe!
I replaced my 20+ year old Specialized road shoes with these Giro shoes. I installed new SPD cleats. The first thing I noticed was the 2oz lighter weight of the Giros. The materials are very high quality and look sleek and modern. The BOA tightening system is brilliant, especially taking the shoes off, pulling on the button instantly releases all the tension. The fit is narrower than expected, I would say snug on the sides of my feet, but not tight. There is ample empty space beyond my big toe but that makes no difference in the ride. The shoe is solid on the pedal, no hot spots, no pressure points at all at up to 35 mile rides. Walking is an improvement to what I am used to, traction is good on tile coffee shop floors. The shoe tread is a rubber material. My feet have stayed totally cool in 75' weather. I have normal width size 10 feet, if you have wide feet this may not be your shoe-you can see the narrow build by looking at it. I'm very satisfied with the performance and value. Durability of the impossibly thin laces remains to be seen but I imagine they have been thoroughly tested.

200 miles later and I still like them.
I don't cartwheel over products. The more expensive the item is, the more I expect from it, so the less I fetishize it. I might lose my mind over a $20 flashlight that turns tents bright as daylight, but $150 cycling shoes better hold up, be comfortable, and go the distance. These definitely do. The BOA is sturdy and so much nicer than the ratchet ties on my old Specialized. The velcro across the bridge is a little short for my average feet, and I feel that they should have left it long so that it can be trimmed. The backs of these are fragile. I can tell. Don't be a dummy and kick them off or do that thing where you put one of your feet on the back of the other to pry them off. You'll ruin them in no time. Also ensure they're adequately loose when putting them on. That should keep them going for quite a while. For the folks saying that they're not stiff enough, that's ridiculous. They're plenty stiff. If you want stiffer in a mountain biking shoe, you'll be hard pressed. Cleats stay in place, shoes aren't too hot, width is OK, and the BOA performs. Good shoe, worth the price so far. As with all cycling shoes, I ended up with a half-size larger than my usual shoe size. I wear a 9 in Clarks, Sanuk, Ariat, Saucony, and Thursday Boots, and the 9.5 (43 in UK) fits perfect.

Great MTB Shoes, Fantastic Price!
Great shoes at a fantastic price. These fit true to size and are very comfortable. I rode with SiDi Dominators for years but they didn't hold up well. These are just as comfortable and far less expensive.

Very Good Cycling Shoe, But Need to Keep Clean
The shoe is very comfortable, the right stiffness for efficient pedaling and fits true to size, be sure to follow their sizing chart which runs differently than Sidi. Saying this because I have Sidis that are a different EU size. The Boa tightening system does a great job applying even pressure. So far after 10 rides they are holding up. I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that the Boa tightener knob gets sticky to disengage after dusty rides. Dirt dust should be expected and remediation for it considering this is an off road cycling shoe. I’ve remedied this by hosing them off after each ride.

Performance Fit WITH comfort
I had been in some great Sidi shoes for duel-application for Gravel and MTB, but they were completely done after 15 years. I bought both a more casual Sidi and this shoe to see which felt better. The Giro shoe is snug, yet not overly confining like some performance shoes can be. The Boa tech is a game-changer, and the shoe has a nice balance of performance and comfort. The soles rigid for performance, and the hard rubber has good grip for hike-a-bike sections and for walking into the coffee shop.

Good shoes for riding your bike!
Good shoes, they run about 1/2 smaller and a little narrower. They fit good, well made and the BOA is very nice and secure. These shoes are a little stiff to walk in if you're using them in the gym or need to walk after a bike ride. I have 2 pair and would recommend them.

A solid choice
Seems these shoes sit at a solid 4 stars over a number of reviews, so I'll go 5 stars to give Giro a bit of love. I'm basing that on bang for the buck. I don't wear these in every weather condition, having ridden in them MOSTLY in very late winter/early spring to late fall/early winter, and haven't put them through their paces in extremely wet and muddy conditions, but have obviously gotten them a bit mucked up in the hills. They've been easy to clean, and have held up well. The balance between flexibility and rigidity is noteworthy. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend these shoes.

Great Shoe, Even Better Customer Service
I purchased a pair of Giro Rincon shoes in August of 2022. These were meant to be a spare pair of shoes, so I set them aside for later use. Ten months later I went to use the shoes for the first time and discovered that the wire of the BOA fit system on one shoe has spontaneously degraded while the shoe was in storage. (See photos.) I contacted Giro Customer Support and provided photos of the damaged shoe via email. Giro quickly indicated that they would provide me a new pair of shoes, under warranty. The replacement pair arrived in very short order. Thank you, Giro! Meanwhile, I discovered that BOA has a lifetime guarantee on its BOA fit system. So, I contacted BOA customer service, and they promptly sent me a repair kit, free of charge. Using the repair kit, I was able to repair the damage BOA fit system in a matter of minutes, restoring the damaged shoe to like-new condition. Thank you, BOA! So, now I have two pairs of these shoes. Yesterday, I used my Giro Rincon for the first time, on a 62-mile road ride. (I use MTB shoes for all sorts of riding; MTB, gravel and road.) I found the Rincon to be very comfortable and they provided good power transfer to the pedals. They were easy to walk in when off the bike. So, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and highly recommend the Giro Rincon. I also have a pair of Giro Privateer shoes, and they are very good.
