It works!
Like some of the other reviews say, you will need to bend it a little to match up with your broken one, other than that it works great. Install overall is about 25 minutes, maybe shorter if your wife isn’t trying to cook dinner at the same time:)

Don't replace your dishwasher! Buy this!
Overall this is not too terrible to install. It can be heartbreaking when you go on a run of one thing after another breaking in your house, but if its only a heating element in your dishwasher just DIY baby!Pay careful attention to the wire routing on your dishwasher. Do not be afraid to pull the whole thing our of your counter area too. It is much easier this way.

It Works!!
I swapped out the old heating coil from my Whirlpool with this one. It was quick and easy to install. My dishwasher is working properly again, with the heating and drying system up to par. So far, so good. I'll keep you updated if things change

Not effective
Repairman measured this piece compared to an official whirlpool part after several weeks of questionable results from installing it. Triple the resistance, so only gets kind of warm but not hot in your dishwasher. Not worth it since you’ll have to buy an official one in the end.

Do you have a Whirlpool dishwasher? If so, then read this.
I bought this back in Oct 2023, installed fairly easy. And it didn’t work, thinking in fact that was not what was wrong, I moved on to temp switch. Needless to say after a couple of other part swaps it was in fact the heating element! Whirlpool dishwashers have to be reset with a button sequence after any parts are replaced to clear faults (takes a few second to initiate and then 23 mins to run through and clear). Now that I’ve reset it using picture attached this thing heats and drys better than original!

Works Like it should
Had to bend it a ittle to make it fit in the holding clamps in the wash basin of our Whirlpool dishwasher. But it sealed up correctly and we now have a working heating element again. These are all a pain in the rear ro install, no matter what dishwasher you have. So they aren't all that easy to get to as you have to pull the entire dishwasher out and lay it on its back to get to the plastic nuts that hold it in place. But this part works as advertised.
