Perfect for my job as a heating timer
I wanted an easy way to turn heat on and off in my basement, so I wired this in series to the thermostat. Now my little kids can easily crank it for timed heat in the playroom (but still temp controlled by thermostat), and if they forget to turn it off, it will turn itself off after a max of 4 hours.While this switch is rated for line voltage, I'm using it for low voltage HVAC (24VAC).

Cheap construction. Potential safety issue.
The faceplate is made plastic, secured by a single nut which fits on the threaded switch post. You can’t tighten the nut tight enough to keep the plate from spinning exposing the wiring in the electrical box.I’m using this to power a small air compressor. The switch is mounted up high out of reach, it works for my use case.

kitchen vent exhaust fan
If you need a Switch replace it with this timer, it will control your kitchen vent fan, this is the thing for you it will hold it on for up to 4 hours so you won't have to remember while you're cooking to turn it off. It is very accurate and does a great job. It was easy to install with the included instructions. Mine is on an American Standard 115v system. I simply swapped out the toggle switch for this one.UPDATE: Nov. 2017:It stopped working. Will not shut off you have to manually turn it off now. Should have stuck with a toggle switch. They used to be a great company now...?
