It does not work
This is difficult to put together, difficult to add water to, and the plastic sliding cups that catch the water fall in constantly. In order to put them back in, you have to take the entire thing apart. Very disappointed

Family-sized hydroponic tower!
I have been gardening traditionally for a long time but I’m new to hydroponics, so it seemed like a good idea to start with a plug-n-play system like this rather than try to design my own. I haven’t had it long enough to really get anything growing yet, so I hope to come back and update this in a few months.Although the instructions were not very detailed, assembly was fairly intuitive. My teenaged sons and I were, indeed, able to assemble the main tower in about 30 minutes as advertised. The light assembly took a little more time and effort to figure out, but we got there eventually! As others have mentioned, this unit is really large! With a big family, I’m excited for how many plants it will hold. I don’t think many other units would make much of a dent in our grocery bill, but I’m hopeful that this will. You definitely want to make sure you have the space for it, though.Aesthetically, it has a very sci-fi look, which you might or might not like. The lights are SUPER bright, so between that and the size of it, it’s not going to blend into the background! (Although I do think when some of my plants get bigger, that will soften the edges a little.) The pump makes a humming sound that is noticeable but not bothersome (to me), and I like the trickling water ambiance—which is also quite noticeable, but I expect having lots of plant roots in there will take the edge off of that, too.It does come with a bunch of foam blocks for starting your seeds and putting in the net pots, but they were not very substantial and also had a chemical smell, so I opted to buy some rockwool plugs to use instead. (I also got a nice, heavy-duty greenhouse tray to use for starting seeds, and I’m glad I did, because the rockwool gets really heavy when it’s soaked!) The only necessary purchase to start using the system is nutrient solution. (For any other newbies out there, this comes as two separate components that you add to the water.) I spent about $30 for the solution. There might be a cheaper option out there, but at a teaspoon per gallon of water, it ought to last for a long time! Tip: Johnny’s Seeds is a great place to get seeds and you can sort by “Hydroponic Performer” under the “Growing Conditions” filter. (I don’t work for them, just a happy customer!)Adding water is pretty easy just by removing one of the lower pots. (An empty gallon vinegar jug is working really well for me.) I might leave one of them unoccupied by a plant for that purpose. It does seem like it might be complicated to access the inside once it’s filled with plants if there were a need to work on the pump or anything like that. So far everything is running smoothly, so hopefully there won’t be a need to find out anytime soon!Overall, this seems like a great addition to our gardening efforts and I’m looking forward to a winter of tasty fresh vegetables!Update 1/24/2023 (see photos) We're enjoying our tower! It's definitely a conversation piece when anyone visits! Salad greens have done the best so far probably because we keep our house around 65-68 degrees in the winter. Spinach bolted, I assume because of the 14 hours of light I have programmed. Kale did not like being on the side of the tower near a heater vent but loves the cooler side. I still think this has the potential to grow most of our greens but I need to get more organized on succession planting.

Wonderful hydroponics
This system is very well designed. I ordered the largest size and it was easy to out together and it is sturdy! There is a picture pipe that connects at the top of the system to distribute the water and in the instructions it was square but I received a round one which actually works better but don't confused from the directions if you receive a round piece. The way it is designed allows for all the slots to get water from the inside and light form the outside for optimal growth. It is a great system and very valuable to our household!

I’m above average at assembling. This took three hours for me!
It’s a project to put this together, but it’s done now!!! 3 hours for me!

Does not work
Im done trying to keep this thing running. Water, condensation and nutrients leak out of all the connection points. I have to be consistently refilling with water and nutrients every week TF! Also lets in too much light which causes algea to grow on the inside. Im so dissapinted because the price does not match performance.

My mistake for purchasing such a BIG system
The whole system was too large for my space.1. Too big to move around on a dolly2. Way too tall with all 8 levels. Was never able to use all levels, Used 30 pods at most.3. Once the pieces are in place, very difficult to take apart to clean.4. Very noisy for indoor use5. Flooded twice, what a mess!!! Place a hot water tank tray (taped the hole) on my Mr. Stacky6. Replaced pump after a week, rattled on the bottom of the tank7. Tank is difficult to access. I don't understand why most of these system make it impossible to access the tank easliy.8. Watering system is a square pvc pipe configuration, slipped out of place frequent and some plants were not getting water. With grow lights attached on the lid, this process was a MAJOR chore!9. Grow light attachment design doesn't allow moving away from plants as needed. Electrical cords had a heavy connector and dangled in the way. I attached the lights to room divider, which served to broke a bit of the bright lights.10. Add an air pump when it started smelling stale even with fresh water added frequent.Gave up on this system after 4 months and too meager harvest.Wasted over $649. Pump and air pump are being used in another system.Hope someone learns from my mistakes!!!!

A Growing System for the Sustainable Gardener
The Hydroponics Growing System is a good way for the more advanced plant grower to further their passion all year round! The system was his had a mostly intuitive assembly having instructions to guide you with the process. I would suggest that you build it in the place that you want it to stay as it is quite stubborn to disassemble. All parts fit together very tightly without the need for glue. The provided pump is also working well and it was easy to begin using right away. The lights are nice and bright and seem high quality, wrapping the entire tower in even lighting. In the beginning, it was a bit noisy since I have my greenhouse attached to my living area but I quickly got used to the hum. All of the pieces came packaged very neatly and with care. I would say, overall, I would recommend this tower to an experienced gardener or someone who is looking to make sustainable growth a more permanent option in their life.

Large nice system
This is a large system. Please have a large space to keep it. Otherwise, it’s awesome to grow stuff with. The assembly was actually a lot easier and the whole system is very secure.
