Irish Setter Men's 83905 Wellington Work Boot

Maybe I'm just happy with these because the size I purchased was priced at about half the normal price. Odd, but satisfying.Excellent quality boots with soles that don't have deep treads-- a real plus for gardeners as they track less mud and are easier to scrape clean with a boot scraper before entering the ol' domicile.The construction is just what you'd expect from RedWing. I've been buying boots for 35 years, and I've never found a better boot than RedWing makes, and I've tried'em all-- Timberland (back when they were reputed to be the best), Johnston, and, basically, many other brands. Chippewa boots are very close in quality to RedWings, and I once had an amazing pair of lumberjack boots the brand of which I can't immediately recall. They were super expensive, but totally indestructible.Anyway, nab these and get yourself some RedWing boot oil to waterproof'em and you are majorly set to go. :)

I have work a size 9.5 for ever, but depending on the brand, I occasionally have gotten a size 10. So when I tried a size 9.5, my heal would slip way up, and make the boot feel like it was too big. At the same time, the store had to get a giant shoe horn to get the boot on. Then we tried the size 9, and it was questionable how it fit. After a few hours I had a giant blister on my heal. Other than that, i really like the boot. It is made very well, and looks great. It is a nice balance between work boot, and dress boot for the office. I was so sorry to have to return the size 9.I have boots that are sold under the Chaps brand, which zip up the inside edge , and they feel like a comfortable slipper. They look great, and feel great. I am on my second pair in 4 years, I wear them out, unfortunately I have not been able to find them again, so I have to search for their replacement. If these Irish Setter boots fit you, count yourself as lucky, they are great quality, and style.

I purchased these as a gift for Christmas for my husband. They are terrible! They hurt his feet. I wish he had started wearing them earlier so I could return them. The return window is closed. I purchased a similar pair from Amazon in 2013 with the same name and same description but definitely not the same boots. The soles on the other pair are VERY different. I just reordered those boots. I wish I had been more careful when ordering. I am very unhappy with the fit of these.

These boots are comfortable and great for yard or heavier work. I was interested in them because they were advertised as waterproof. They are NOT waterproof. I used them on a motorcycle ride and rode about 65 miles in the rain. The boots let dampness in after about 30 miles and it took the boots a few days to dry.I love the look of these boots. One thing I do not like about the wellingtons though is for whatever reason, every pair I have ever bought seems to pull calf length boots all the way down to your heal. Has anyone else experienced this with wellington boots? If you know the right kind of socks that dont sag all the way down, I would love to know.

I looked at these at Gander Mountain and liked them, alas they did not have them in 13 extra fat foot ,found the right size on Amazon, Perfect, and these can be resoled done the road at any redwing shoe store. These are excellent quality boots and are very comfy on my old fat feet and the leather is butter soft.

Mu husband loves his new boots.Red Wing boots are the best boots on the planet! At least for his feet :) He loves them, the fit and the price!!

Great boot. Love the Red Wing brand and since these are part of the Red Wing family. I decided to give them a try. No surprise in the quality and workmanship. Will order again when needed.
