If you have been following the podcast Start with this and are wondering if this is worth getting, the answer is yes. Here focuses on one corner of a home throughout time. Not in a linear progression but rather snapshots of the same space from different times including before the house is built and even after it is dust. It is worth having your own copy because this is great example of creating a narrative that transcends generations.

The book is a pictorial account of one place on this earth. Normally seen as a corner in a room where various family events over several generations take place.But it extends back through history when this particular room did not exist., from pre history to more recent centuries.Each page might have several periods of time represented in it and by the end I want to re read the book toConcentrate on the different pathways which time travel across the pages. It is beautifully drawn, there is humour, haunting and human behaviour within it and an excellent cat who wanders in and out of the story lines.

Interesting to read, beautiful illustrations throughout a lovely item for gifting.

A fantastic concept. Make you look at the pictures more than once and revisit them.
