Short on hardware, doesn't fit my factory holes.
A photo provided by the seller shows one large bolt going through the bottom of the handle. The hardware bags that came with both of my handles had only two bolts, one big one and one small one. My handles, however, had three bolt holes drilled into both of them. 3 holes, 2 bolts - does that make sense to anyone? The larger bolt seemed to be an M12 meant for the hole under the rectangular opening, but that hole is not threaded and the bolt has a triangular shape that none of my dies from my large tap and die set fit onto. Also, the bottom two bolt holes do not line up with any factory holes in the D pillar of my 2019 extended length high roof Transit, though they do line up with slight indentations, which I believe are spot welds.I drilled through those indentations and affixed the bottom plate with my own bolts and nuts. Note that the steel is VERY HARD, probably boron-infused steel. If you drill through it, you will need to use drill bits made of titanium or cobalt. Tungsten carbide would probably be too brittle for this application. Start with a 1/16th" on high speed and step up to larger holes sizes incrementally. Switch to low speed after 1/8th", maybe. You'll have to feel out when to switch to lower speed (with strong pressure applied to the metal).I used larger bolts with 2 washers (one on either side of the pillar metal), lock nut, and regular nut.The QR code on the box doesn't actually take you to any installation instructions for this part. Can't find instructions on paper or video anywhere. On a positive note, the handles seem heavy duty.
