Novogratz Brittany Upholstered Bed Daybed, Twin, Gray

I needed a new bed for a new apartment. I got a full sized because the room is small. It came well packaged in a box which required two people to lift, not because of weight but the size. The box suffered the usual shipping hazards, but the bed inside was fine. I suspect it was due to the upholstery. The color is gray, but so light that its really almost just beige. I love the simple vertical tufted design. And I was able to assemble it by myself. It took a few hours without rushing, and I split it up into 2 days. I did the bed first and then I did the drawers on the next day. In the beginning, I did make a mistake with one of the slats upside down when putting it together, and I ended up breaking one of the plastic pieces to take it apart. However, I realized afterwards that I probably could have left the plastic piece in place and just loosened a rail instead. The 4 drawers on the bottom on wheels are really nice to have for extra pillows or covers. The drawers are not on a track and comes out fully if you ever need to or just to get under the bed if something rolls underneath. There are bolts that the drawers latch onto in order to stay in place. The bed has seemed to be sturdy enough for 2 people and sometimes the kiddos like to snuggle in too. I have an 11 inch mattress on it. I probably wouldn’t jump on it though because the wooden slats underneath doesn’t feel like the strongest. I like that it is upholstered on all sides and corners, as I recall how painful it is to hit the corners sometimes fumbling around in the dark to use the bathroom. Overall really nice bed and would recommend this to anyone.

I purchased this daybed for my Mother, who has some back issues that make it very uncomfortable to lie on her back. The package arrived a day earlier than projected, which was a nice bonus. It was very heavy and bulky though, so make sure you have help moving it around. Assembly wasn't too difficult, though requiring an Allen wrench / Hex Key made things more difficult. Once everything was set up it was amazing how much bigger her room felt (over an older clunky queen bed). The two drawers underneath are perfect for holding a second set of sheets, pillow cases, and extra blanket. The neutral gray tone of the daybed works with most room coloring. The frame feels solid enough, but durability will need a lot more time to test.Overall this was a great product for the price, and Mom was able to finally sleep in a bed instead of bouncing between the couch and recliner.

The instructions to this made it, incredibly easy to put together, all thr hardware was organized and I like that it had well written instructions along with pictures.The drawers look like they could break easily but I do really like that the drawers have a screw that connects to the base so my kiddo can't just pull them open whenever which for me is another benefit!I got a memory foam mattress to go with it that fits really well.We decided on a daybed instead of a couch for when we have friends that stay over, and if we are on the couch most of the time we are laying down anyways so it's exactly what we wanted. It looks like a couch, it doesn't have a gap between the back bench piece and the frame to hold the mattress which is what ultimately was the tie breaker between getting this one or one of the several other daybeds I had been looking at on here.

I’ve seen very mixed reviews on this bed (across multiple platforms) so I want to add my two cents now that I’ve had it for several weeks. First, the “gray” color option is not gray - It is definitely a white or off white. I knew this from the reviews going in, so this was what I expected! Also, the headboard is not very tall. Depending on the size of your mattress, pillows sitting up against the headboard may cover all/most of it. Assembly instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to put together by myself in a few hours, but be prepared for lots of screwing in pieces with an Alan wrench. The storage drawer fronts match the upholstered parts of the bed, which is nice, but the other sides of drawers are plastic. Drawers can also latch onto the bed when not in use so the sides look uniform, which I really appreciate! I love the look of this bed, it feels sturdy, assembly and price were reasonable - I am satisfied overall! I think if I hadn’t read so many reviews before ordering I would have been surprised by some of these things, so just passing it on.

This bed frame and head board look fantastic. LOVE the color and detailing. While there were a lot of steps to the assembly (11 I think), the assembly instructions were clear, concise and we had no issues. The bed seems solid. My only complaint, and I use the term loosely, is that the bottom is only about 3" from the ground so I don't think our Rumba will be able to get under there. If the whole unit was 3" higher/tall from the floor. I definitely recommend. I would order again.
