I absolutely love this little cooler. It actually cools the room and not just the person sitting directly in front of it. Obviously putting the water in it and pushing the air condition button is the way to get maximum benefit from this unit but the fan also is very effective especially if you are using it on a desk. It has a 2 hr or 4 hr timer that is great if you are using it to cool off the room while going to sleep. When using the fan water does not need to be in the unit. Speaking about the water you don't have to take off the bottom half to add water (you can if you want) because there is a side vent you can open and just pour in the water. So convenient for fast fill up. There is a red indicator light that flashes on when the unit is low of water. It's not a loud or noisy system either. I don't use the light colors but they do work. Highly recommend this unit. Am going to buy another for the kitchen.

The fact that i’m taking time out of my day to write a review on how bad this item is should already say a lot. Not only is the build quality bad like it’s a toy but I’ve had portable battery powered handheld fans work a lot better than this. It does not do anything to help cool down a room and not only that but you could barely feel any air coming out of it on max settings. Filling it with water and ice does not help make the air cooler or bearable. It actually just sprays a mist of water at you every couple of minutes. I’d personal go get something that would actually cool the room and i’d skip this this one.

Other reviews are right that this is not an air conditioner, but if you're shopping for something in the thirty-dollar price point, you're never going to get an air conditioner. As a personal swamp cooler, however, this is awesome! It really only cools one person at a time and it has to be aimed directly at you, but if you put some ice and water in it, it's lovely. I used it during the recent heat wave and I survived, so that's nice.One thing to note is that unless you use the 2hr/4hr button, there is no OFF switch. It's not a huge deal, it's just annoying that to turn it off you have to unplug it. A battery operated version would be a cool idea, too.

Packaged well and worked fine until it overheated and shutdown after 4 hours of use. Not an AC just a fan. Power button is still hot an hour after it shutdown. Won't turn back on. Very disappointed. Will try again when power button is cool.

Not super helpful. Works better as just a fan as it can blow a decent strength, maybe gives a little coolness. I was definitely hoping for better with the summer heat, but a little disappointed.

When you're in a camper in the Arizona heat, it can really take a toll on you and your air conditioner, not to mention your electric bill. We have a 30 amp but were tired of running the air all of the time because we live in a microwave on wheels. We know all about swamp coolers being desert rats, ourselves. A fan was of little help so we looked at these little air coolers and WOW, we hit the jackpot! Typically, our inside temps are about 5 to10 degrees hotter than outside so once it hits the low 70s, we are feeling toasty inside. With this running, it takes us to below outside temperatures by about 5 to 10 degrees until midday when we crank on the air on low now and adjust it to about 75 to 80 instead of putting a strain on it by sitting it lower. We run it until dusk and turn it off. We've had this for about a week and are hitting 90 and so far so good. It cools much better with the water. The lights are also a nice added touch and add to the ambiance of the campground setting. This is a great purchase.

The product worked great for the few hours it worked. After than I started smelling a burning smell, and stopped working. When I touched the unit it was hot (near the controls). I tired the power button a couple of times and it wouldnt work. I unplugged it, plugged it back after few hours still didnt work. I suspect poor quality of electric circuit.

The media could not be loaded.  I was searching for something to cool my hot office space, and this fits right on my desk. I've tried it for a week, and it has kept my workspace a few degrees cooler, especially if I use ice water to fill the reservoir - also gives a little humidity, great out here in dry climate. Very quiet. Only have to fill tank again once during the day if I keep the setting on low - has 3 settings. Can use humidifier part, or just the fan. Great little product.
