Accuracy ? ...
Lots of good features for the price. But with precise calibrator I obtain : 4.oo ma = 3,98 ma and 20.00 ma = 19,92 ma.Not great for industrial applications.I should have bought a Fluke for 20% $$ more but more precise.

High quality meter!
I’m a industrial generator technician and I use this meter daily. It is very comparable to a fluke meter with similar features, the only difference is the price. Highly recommend extech.

Good while it worked, but not heavy duty!
While it worked it was a good DMM. As other people reported, the continuity test was slow. I bought it six years ago and paid extra as it says it is 'heavy duty'.I am a hobbyist and used this multi-meter once a month or even less so I thought it would last forever. One day I pick it up to measure continuity on a project, and the selection knob breaks internally and this DMM becomes an expensive paperweight.I am trying to find how much it would cost to get a repair, but the site that Extech points to for repairs (Flir) is clumsy and I have not been able to create an account - which is required even before you get to any useful information. So much for wanting to buy a quality product that would last.

The meter works well
It shuts off if you leave it on too long and beeps at you to let you know its about to happen.Push any button and it's back on again.I really should have gotten a 5 digit meter, but this is a decent 4 digit meter for the price.Stand it up on it angle arm and it's super wobbly! The bottom of the meter is rounded and the arm is narrow. Expect your meter to fall over a LOT if you stand it up. I added a flat base to mine. This is REALLY annoying!
