Sharp awesome scissors with adjustable weights

The version I received--and I see someone else posted the same about a month ago so it may be ongoing--is not the one pictured/described above with the sharp tips, black stopper, speckled inserts, and leather case, but rather this version, in typical clear plastic packaging:  Equinox Professional Razor Edge Hair Cutting Scissors/Shears - (6.5") Adjustment Tension Screw, 100% Stainless Steel, Great For Salons, Barber-Shops, and Hair Enthusiasts Not sure if it's truly another model by the same maker or a fake. Aesthetically it seems inferior to the one I wanted (mainly: rounded face instead of flat, and blunt tips), but the blade feels sharp and the tensioner works fine, so we'll see how well they work and how long they hold an edge. These shears are super sharp, so no complaints about that. I have thick wavy hair, and they helped me to trim the length with ease. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that the corners of the blades are rounded. You can kind of tell if you look closely in the pictures. This makes it a little harder in terms of precision. I like to thin out areas of my hair by selectively trimming small pieces, and it's much easier to do when the scissors are pointy. Anyway, I'm going to keep them and keep using them, because they're very sharp, a nice size, and good value for the money. Much sharper than the Tweezerman "moustache" scissors I was using before (they got rusty, so I had to replace them).

These were a gift for my wife as she uses other Equinox scissors every day in her professional career as a hairdresser and stylist. This is a great example that, although a $200 pair of scissors (while very good quality) is not necessary to do a quality professional job at cutting hair.

My husband couldn’t fit his fingers into the grips with the inserts in place so we removed them. Now th for is snug, but not uncomfortable for him. The scissors are sharp, cut hair like butter, and just the right size for easy use an maneuverability. We like them a lot.
