CALPAK Davis Expandable Luggage Set, Black

Just got this set in and it looks really nice. Only one once so far but I have two more vacations and I can't wait to see how they hold up! For now I love them. For reference I ordered white and think they look very chic but my husband can use them as well.

I bought new luggage for an international trip. I just got home and the suitcase held up well. The expandable sides helped when I bought a few too many souvenirs. I wish the flap in the middle zipped instead of clipping but it’s better than nothing. The wheels make it easy to maneuver and the handle is padded. I didn’t use the TSA lock but tested it out and it works fine.I got the light blue color which was a mistake. It’s already stained so I wish I’d gone with a darker color.Order them a few days before you need them. They come with a very strong chemical/plastic smell but I unzipped all of them and let them air out a few days and the smell went away. When your trip is over they all stack back together to save space.

My bag had a faulty zipper which opened in the middle of a flight and came out on the baggage claim completely open (even when zips were locked). It also opened while I was walking with it resulting in all my clothes falling out. I complained and they refused to replace it. Don't buy Calpak unless you want your bag to open everywhere you go.

The handle on the small suitcase broke after 3 uses. And now I find out I can't return it. That sucks. Should have gone to the retail store

They seem ok, but there are no corner protectors on the luggage so not sure how long they will last. Here is a warning on the 2 year limited warranty. It only covers "defects in material workmanship" it does not cover any damage caused by "normal wear and tear, misuse, improper care, accident or transport damage (for example by airlines) " This quoted of the warranty tag. I get misuse or improper care.. but airlines? Look I know you can't make luggage indestructible for a reasonable price... but airline wear and tear is why you buy the luggage. If it last 2 years through the airlines, great... good value. If it last one trip through the airlines... your busted not the company. We travel 4 times a year on average by airlines. maybe a little more than most people. We will see how this luggage fairs over the 2 years.

Literally amazing! I've been traveling for work a ton and they've held up over 3 international trips and hold a ton of clothes. Very easy to maneuver through busy airports and very lightweight! I'm 5'4 and 120 lbs so sometimes grabbing a huge suitcase off the belt is difficult but these are perfect.

Came on time. My daughter loves the baby pink color. 360 Spinning wheels are great. Haven't traveled with yet, but will be using to travel home from college sooner

I love this luggage. I've had it for over a year now, and it's been through 3 big moves and NYC life. Highly recommend this tough set!
