Gave it a 1 star but…
a zero star is not an option. So I know my way around a kitchen cooking most meals from scratch and essentially have an ingredient home. That being said this book is a disaster. Firstly easily half the recipes call for slices of bread to go into the concoction you are making. How am I to add 16 slices of bread into the machine? WTH? It is also written with no explanation, no pictures and in very small print on very cheap paper the color of hand wiping towels in a public restroom. I would include photos but I am challenged in that regard. This book is useless unless you understand why you would need to add an entire loaf of bread (of unknown type) into the loaf you are trying to make. Do you cube it? Do you plop it in like the loaf you hope to make? Are we trying to make 100 variants of bread pudding? I just don’t get it and there is no guidance whatsoever. So if you can get past that the book is written for one specific bread maker. Not once have I yet to find where it says what baking number one is to use for the loaf one is making ie 1,2,3… 14. NOT ONE. I cannot imagine using one recipe and will be trying to return it… we’ll see how that goes… It’s truly terrible. Save your money and your frustration. I have had more luck googling recipes for the machine and King Arthur’s website who sells this bread maker has plenty of free recipes AND all of the organic flours you could ever possibly need. Good luck and happy bread making! One big tip… don’t stuff your flour canister full of flour and scoop it out directly with your 1 cup measure. Either weigh out your flour on a kitchen scale ($10 on Amazon) or loosely spoon it into your dry goods 1 cup measuring cup. My job is done here!

Overall a great to have
I recently put based this in a bundle with the bread machine. I’m don’t particularly enjoy cooking/baking but I’m more worried about my health spurring me to avoid all processed foods. While I found this re Joe book a handy addition, I’m highly disappointed that some of the terminology doesn’t match the bread machine leaving g me to guess which cycles as I learn more about my particular Zojirushi machine. It’s really odd that it claims it’s specifically for this brand but doesn’t reflect proper labels hence the 4stars. Someone who detests cooking:baking isn’t really interested in puzzling out ambiguous callouts. It’s also interesting there are many recipes calling for dry milk. But not surprising due to this being a Japanese brand.

Zoijrushi bread machine.
Recipes are specific for this Machine. Not to heavy. I like That it has many unique Recipes.

Terrible Editing
There are almost no instructions on how to actually use the recipes. The recipes themselves are very sparse and poorly edited. Example: a fair number of them state that the cooking time is 10 minutes. A regular baking cycle on this machine is over an hour so its more like an hour and 10 min. Some of the recipes are just really strange. It reads more like a collection of recipes that were mailed in by random people than anything that were actually thoughtfully put together and tested.

A wide variety of recipes, but the format is not so great.
I'm mixed on this cookbook. It has so many recipes, many that I have never seen. In that regard, the book is interesting. However, the book's execution is poor. In the same section, you will find quick breads, yeast breads, gluten-free breads, and others lumped together. There is a table of contents, but no index. The organization is a bit of a mess, in my opinion. The recipes themselves appear to be drawn from many other sources, so there is no consistency. One confusing aspect is that some recipes list"16 slices of bread" in the recipe. This is listed in the exact same format as the ingredients, so it could be easy for a novice baker to think that they need to add 16 slices of bread as an ingredient. In reality, this is referring to the loaf size. Other information is just wrong, as if the recipes were never proofread. For instance, the "Fragrant Cardamom Loaf" lists a cooking time of 10 minutes. Additionally, there are no photos, just lists of recipes. This book does not seem to be explicitly designed for Zojirushi bread machines; it appears to be a collection of recipes drawn from many other sources. However, there is no reference material to indicate where these recipes came from. Also, the cover says it is a "cookbook for beginners." I don't see that as true, since such a book would be better organized and include specific instructions for novices as well as illustrative photos. The "cookbook for beginners" title seems more like marketing speak to me. But that is just my opinion. I would not use this as my main bread machine cookbook. Other books are much more organized and clearer. Those books' authors appear to have actually developed and baked the recipes listed. I'm uncertain that this author did any of that. However, this is a handy book if you are looking for an unusual recipe you can't find in a typical cookbook, as it includes 300 recipes. I will use this book as a secondary bread-making cookbook. If you can accept its limitations, then it may be worth purchasing.

Great book to go with the bread maker.
The recipes are quite diverse and easy to use. Lots of helpful tips as well.

Good recipes
I have made a few of the recipes and I have not been disappointed with the results.

Not worth the time or money.
I was very disappointed with this book. There are several spelling errors throughout, and some recipes appear to be missing ingredients. In addition, there is little to no clear separation between individual recipes, which makes it easy to confuse where one recipe ends and another begins. As an ARC reader, this version feels incomplete and unpolished, and it reads more like a draft than a finished product.

Bakers use grams not cups and measuring spoons
I have tried a dozen recipes from the book and they all need tweaking so you wind up making them a few times. The author purports to be “ Esther W. Wright is an author, photographer, and a psychologist.”. She should stick to her lane ‘cuz cookbooks are not here forte. The book is 112 pages with 300 recipes - let that sink in. You get the ingredients and bare bone instructions and then the next recipe. Typically 3 or 4 per page in small print. Small print sucks in a kitchen. The recipes seem derivative - meaning not necessarily crafted/tested/refined by the author. I had high hopes but… I regret not returning during the return window.
