I live just outside Philadelphia and don’t have air conditioning in my home. During a recent heat wave, I realized last minute that I needed a solution and—without much experience—ended up purchasing three different tower fans instead of a window AC unit. What I learned quickly is that in hot, humid conditions, fans alone mostly just circulate warm air rather than actually cooling the space. The first fan I tried, the LEVOIT Tower Fan, was decent for the price and felt slightly more powerful than expected. It’s taller, has good oscillation, and includes features like Wi-Fi and a remote. However, it is a bit louder than I’d prefer, especially for sleeping. It did not bring the temperature down in my apartment alone. Next, I purchased the DREO Tower Fan (standard model). This one is quieter and looks sleek, with similar features (remote, Wi-Fi, multiple modes). However, the airflow opening is smaller than it appears, and it didn’t feel any more powerful than the LEVOIT—possibly even less. Overall, it’s fine, but not a major upgrade. With 2 tower fans now, they brought the temperature down a bit but it was still 89 degrees in my house. Finally, I bought the DREO Upgraded DC Tower Fan, and this one made the biggest difference. It pushes significantly more air, distributes it better throughout the room, and the added height helps circulate air more effectively. It’s louder, but the performance makes up for it. If I had started with this model, I likely would have skipped the others and purchased 2 of these. That said, even with three fans, the reality is that in a humid climate like Philadelphia—especially on a top floor—fans alone aren’t enough. They mostly move hot, humid air around. I’ll be using these fans to supplement airflow in my room in my apartment, but I’ll still need a window air conditioner for real cooling in the other room. Final thoughts: * If you already have AC and just want better airflow → the LEVOIT is a great value. * If you want something quieter → the standard DREO is fine. * If you want the strongest airflow → go with the upgraded DREO. * If you don’t have AC and live in a humid area → skip the fans and invest in a window air conditioner first. I wish I had known that from the start, but hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same mistake.

Great fan for a fraction of the big brands price
This is a powerful and affordable fan. It genuinely cools me down on hot summer days to the point I have to pull out a throw blanket. Our ceiling fan broke and I needed some air flow and this definitely works! I love it and will be purchasing one for my bathroom too! It’s light enough to move around, sleek, and it’s not too noisy (but not silent either). So far, I’ve had this 2 years and it’s been pretty reliable! I run it everyday in the summer!

Pleasantly Surprised . . .
I have been using Dyson fans for the past few decades . . . Unfortunately, they are way overpriced and last only about 5 years before they become excessively loud (even with cleaning) and have to be replaced. I found this Dreo to be extremely quiet and it pumps out a lot of air even at the lowest speeds. Not sure how long it will last, but if just a few years, it will be a much better value than my Dysons . . .

A Must Read: The Tale Of Mr Breeze
I always tell it like it is (or how I perceive it to be). Let's be honest, it's a giant, narrow fan. It blows air (like so many politicians...). So why spend so much money on .. well...a fan? I initially bought this because, as I was melting into my couch, I was watching my cats melt into the carpet. Issue with the AC...long story. So I went through the reviews and found this guy. Bought it. HVAC guy came out the next day and successfully fixed my AC (eye roll). Ugh spent almost $100 on a giant fan, I thought. Contemplated returning it after I got it. But wanted to test it out first. Friendly reminder, this is just a fan. NOT a cooling fan! Old man winter doesn't jump out streaking you with his coldness to help you regulate your body temperature from the scorching summer temps. HOWEVER... the feel of the air blowing on you doesn't feel like a regular fan!! Imagine...going for a walk on a lovely, but a bit too warm of a day and then a breeze comes through. And you go....aaahhh that's an incredibly lovely breeze! THAT..IS...THIS...FAN! Even on fan mode, it feels like a breeze. (With many speeds). AND EVEN BETTER... there is a nature setting! So that walk you took with that lovely breeze that comes and goes... THERE IS A SETTING FOR THAT! I TRIED IT AND IT DOES EXACTLY THAT! IT'S WAY BETTER THAN....a regular fan... Am I going to return it? HECK NO! I've had my fair share of fans and in all shapes and sizes (and even colors!). This guy is HUGE!! This guy is sheek. This guy is mine and his name will be Mr. Breeze! Of course there are cons! -A bit on the squeaky side when doing his 90 degree twist. But, I mean, if I tried twisting 90 degree, I probably will need some WD40 nearby... - He's not nearly as noisy as a regular fan. There will always be a little noise, but, overall, very respectfully quiet...no matter if your sleeping, working or just going about your business. That's how a real fan should be! -It's so tiny!! The remote is friggin adorable! Not sure the range from the remote to the fan but sometimes when I push the remote, I have to move closer to make the fan register what I'm asking it to do via remote. I just bought it so the battery "shouldn't" be bad. But we know it can happen. Sometimes things need a little something something to help get going! I definitely recommend Mr Breeze if you want to feel REAL FANtastic! If you just need a regular fan, I'm sure you can find some cheaper thing somewhere.... he won't be nearly as satisfying though... I'm just sayin...

Dreo Tower 42 Inch Floor Fan - not bad, not bad at all... NICEEE.......
Gotta say, I am impressed by this Dreo Tower 42 Inch Floor Fan. I came across Dreo because I was looking for another of the Air Innovation fans I bought a few years ago for our place. That model is no longer being sold. We have two of the Air Innovations floor stand models and they are still working wonderfully well, ESPECIALLY with the twirl/swirl air feature - nice chill added to the air flow. --- and I did not want to purchase the updated, more expensive version. Dreo: a) It is somewhat quiet (no annoying noise) b) GREAT feature of allowing you to turn off the ANNOYING beep every FRIGGIN' time you press a button c) No need to get wi-fi version, unless you really, REALLY want it and want to pay an extra ~10 bucks d) The up and down air/wave pattern is nice e) The oscillation is not bad either Bottom line, this fan is performing better than I thought it would after these past several days - nice, cool air, even at level 2 on a 88 degree day. -- It took me ~10 minutes to put it together - NO tools needed and did not need to read the instructions. Very intuitive design if your mind/brain has a technical bend to it, otherwise, might take about, maybe 15-20 minutes...??? I would definitely recommend it at this point. NOTE: Make sure you find the warranty card AND the little gray User Manual booklet in the box. The "default 12 month warranty" is stated on next to last page of User Manual. Remember, if you do the scan QR code (actually, just go to the dreo.com site) to extend your warranty - it is also a quick way for them to send you email/text (even if you opted to not receive offers and whatnot).

Best tower fan I’ve owned so far
It’s quiet, powerful, sturdy/well-built, and designed to be cleaned thoroughly when the time comes. Some (of the many) features I was not expecting but love: a) display dims automatically, b) sleep mode steps down the speed over time, c) the timer works to turn the fan on or off. I didn’t see a spare fuse, but I’d probably lose it or maybe never need it.

Ventilateur silencieux

The seller should mention this fact voor Europeans in their discription .

Sorprendente

SUPERB
I live in a small one-bed apartment and a couple of years ago Vancouver set records for heat and I was so wishing for air-conditioning and was taking constant luke-warm showers and ice on neck! With climate change I think it's only going to get worse. I already have a table Dyson fan but it was flowing out hot hair in that sweltering heat of two years ago. Decided to purchase this Tower Fan, mainly due to good reviews and even though I don't need a fan today I just tried it out and I think it's going to be perfect. IT IS WHISPER QUIET, which for me is a big bonus. For some reason I had a hard time putting the two base pieces together, but that's just me...then I got it and I still don't know how! Did have a couple of questions for DREO and they were very helpful. It's sleek and blends in well with my furniture. Now all I need is sweltering weather?? so I can really try it out. As I said, it looks good, the price was right, packaging and delivery time was perfect and you can register for a 5-Year guarantee (free) so that's great too.
