Hoover Candy 41021913 Washing Machine Drum Paddle Lifter

One of my washer drum paddles fell off when doing the washing didn’t want to pay for someone to come out and fix it or even just replace a washer for a problem down to something that can be fix cheaply By buy the part and fitting it ourself. So we tried first couple of try’s we didn’t fit it quiet right and it came off once we figured out what we were doing wrong it’s suck right into place and working as it should be. Great value for money it easy to install once u work out how to lock it in to place

After taking the washing out of our machine I noticed one of the had come off. On inspection I could see that the locating plastic clips that held it in place had broken off. Initially I panicked thinking we’d have to buy a new machine or pay for a new drum. However after a quick search on Amazon, I found you can order these separately. Very easy to fit, just make sure that the metal flanges inside the drum aren’t bent out of position, if they are careful tap them back into place. Saved myself a lot of money with this quick fix.

Does exactly what I needed it to do and therefore we have a full-strength washing machine again. I was concerned that Hoover and Candy are working together because Candy used to have a reputation for unreliability but the Hoover machine I have is still operating like new but for the paddle lifter breaking but when your washer is never off you expect some break down occasionally and fortunately I was able to repair this myself.

A paddle broke free of the washing machine drum and first inspection led me to believe that it was a terminal or very expensive condition necessitating the replacement of the drum. A bit of research found that the paddle lifters could be replaced and, further more the operations was not to difficult for the amateur bodger. The hardest job was pulling the machine out from its fitted location in the kitchen. Replacing the paddle with open access to the washing machine is a ten minute job. The product has performed faultlessly during the three months since its installation.
