Shattuckite is a lesser known stone, named after the Shattuck mine in Bisbee, Australia where it was first discovered. It is one of my favorites because of it's vibrant turquoise & deep blue hues. The colors remind me of the sea, so I gave these earrings a simple wavy, scalloped edge design. The earrings were hand fabricated from Sterling Silver sheet metal. The Shattuckite stones are bezel set in Sterling Silver ornate wire. The metal was oxidized to highlight the texture in the stone settings. Hung from Sterling Silver hand fabricated French wires. The earrings are 1 1/4" in length, and 1" in width. They weigh 7.75 grams each.
