Will this work on the rubber soles of my Mizuno running shoes? How will I know that the rubber is ready for the leather dye?

I really can't say. I would try it on some rubber sole shoes you don't care about. I research it a bit too. On leather once you clean off the area you want to paint it is ready to go I think. It drys really fast. Rubber is probably the same if it works on rubber.

Can this product be shipped to California?

Might not. We have tough environmental import laws in Canada and I had to have it shipped to NY.

Does it remove paint from shoes?

It removes paint but you must be careful when correcting paint
