As an extremely pale person naturally, i have not had luck with self tanners because they are patchy, streaky, sooo obvious when it starts to come off, or doesn’t blend onto my hands at all no matter how hard i try to buff it in. This self tan though is amazing! It is not very dark but it gives you a nice glow. It blends seamlessly. When it starts to come off its barely noticeable because it goes away so nicely. I personally shave and exfoliate the night before i put it on and i find that gives the best result

Fake Bake has great quality products. This works well on your face as it has a bit less pigment, I use the other darker stuff on the rest of my body. It lasts for about 3-4 days then you need to reapply. Only use a gentle cleanser (not a scrub) on your face so you dont scrub it off and lose the tan sooner.

This is a good product overall. Easy to apply with no streaking (I use a mitten to apply). The smell doesn't bother me at all, and it doesn't transfer into clothes. However, I wish this product gave me a deeper tan. It's good for beginners who are afraid to look orange, but if you've self tanned before then you might be a bit dissatisfied with the depth of the shade this product provides.

Product was wonderful, I was a HUGE tanning fanatic and after discovering a scary mole that did turn up to be malignant melanoma I knew I needed to stop! Fake and Bake is amazing there are pro's and con's as with any sunless tanning lotion.. I have previously used Jergens and Nivea gradual tans and while they were ok, I have very light skin and they wore off very uneven and when I used it daily it made me look like a copper mess! I simply take a shower and shave and use a loofah sponge, nothing intense by any means, normal shave/body wash.. I get out and apply a regular lotion to dry spots (toes, ankles, knees, elbows, wrist and knuckles). I put on some gloves and get to work I start w/a quarter size for the calf and sorta use what's extra on the feet and knees and then work up from there.. I am a COMPLETE mess w/this stuff, I NEVER rub it in all the way, I generally have it all over my wrist and various body parts. I rub it in when/if I get to it. I don't mean I leave huge globs, I simply do not worry about it and it has yet to leave any weird coloring. I do find if I over work the product it starts to seem scary, but it's always absolutely great the next day... i also get dressed in loose shorts and a T right after.. Washes right out of everything. I do not suggest wiping yourself dry in the morning and I also don not use my loofah or exfoliating washes until the next week.. I do not spend extended amount of time in the shower or swim. Realistically it would be AMAZING if they could create a lotion that not only makes you tan but keeps you tan w/o reapplying and coming completely off at your pool party but I think it comes down to what your priority is.. You can make the color darker by reapplying nightly.. and the color DOES stay for about 3-4 days after 2 days of applying. It can be a pain but for me w/2 kids and a husband to take care of, getting 45 min to go to a salon for even a spray tan (at 20 bucks and only last 5-7 days and will come off just as easily) tan in a lotion that doesn't make me look weird or streak is the best. If it is streaking make sure you are completely dry of water and sweat.. I notice if I start to sweat it doesn't create nearly as great of a tan in that particular area.. Great product worth the cost, time, and saves your skin!! What more can you ask for?
