Mindy Locker Lock with Keys Zinc Alloy Padlock,3.5x1.5x2 Inch

I'm that kind of airhead that's notorious for locking my keys inside my locker and then needing to cut the lock off my locker. Can't be bothered with remembering combos either so figured i was going to have to just deal with my issues until I finally stumbled across this lock, and I really love this thing! I wish I known about these locks years ago... when you unlock it, the key cannot come back out while it's open. so the key stays in the lock until you go to lock it again. so it's going to be impossible to lock my keys in my locker now 😁. Besides that I love how pretty it looks and when I tell you it's heavy I mean it's HEAVY. As in good, tough quality. I bought the 50 (midsize one) and it's a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be: This size came with 3 keys. It just barely fits my locker at work. I believe I'll have to get another one for my shed.

I purchase the AF4-50 model because it has a ball bearing locking mechanism, thick shackle, and high shackle guard. Finding those three important features in a padlock under $20 is hard, so I consider this a great value. Here are what I consider the pros and cons of the lock Pros-- Ball bearing: Can't be shimmed. Thick shackle with shackle guard: Much more difficult to cut. Non-standard key: Will probably resist picking by an unskilled lock picker who sees the hole and has no idea what is supposed to fit in there. Cons-- Keys: It comes with three keys but there's no way to get more. There isn't a serial number so that you can call the company with the number and they'll be able to identify your lock and mail you new keys. And no lock shop or key cutting place has blanks for these to cut you a spare even if you have the original. So don't lose the keys! Engrish: This lock is made in Taiwan by a Taiwanese company who thought embossing some cryptic broken English text would make the lock more appealing. I don't know how this lock holds up outdoors in wet conditions, or if it breaks when you drop it or strike it with a hammer. All in all I think it will deter a thief of opportunity who is equipped with only basic lock picking knowledge and tools and who doesn't want spend a lot of time or make a lot of noise trying to open it.

This is a great lock. You should know that it does not fit a standard locker. I did not realize this when purchasing the lock. Other than that, it looks great and has a night weight and feeling of security to it.

This lock looks good and durable but one slip off of my locker and it hits the ground and completely shatters into pieces. It was about a month and a half after I bought it so no coverage for me... I would get another one, but just would be more careful with it.

It looks nice and heavy, but I don’t know why I can’t use the keys come with the Mindy Lockers Lock to open it. Very disappointed.

I just received this lock in the mail today. I cannot give it a top rating for two reasons: (1) It did not have four keys as stated. I received three. (2) The only instructions for the lock were on the back of the package and it was covered with a sticker saying it was made in China. I worked and worked to get the sticker off but it just took off the instructions as well. I know a lock should be a simple thing and no instructions should be needed but this lock is very different with very different keys. Would have appreciated instructions inside so that I don't damage the keys, making the lock unusable.

When I received this item, the lock was much larger than I anticipated. Once again I ordered something without paying attention to the measurements. I was sure that this wasn't going to fit my gym locker, but thought I would try it anyway before giving up, and it does! It is attractive, which doesn't matter that much to me, but it seems to be well constructed and solid and it comes with three keys. Nice and heavy.

Design is a throwback to locks and safes which carried a fancy expensive look. Unique locking system. Good price. Heavy duty. Good ratings. Will have to report back if it beats my stalker who likes to pick all my locks.
