Good apparent build quality, very satisfied with initial impressions
I just received this today, but I have initial tests and impressions. If my views change through the course of continued use, I will update this review. My intended use is for product shots in studio, indoor, stationary video capture, and digitizing film. If it holds up well for these things, I'll add an external battery pack for extended power when I need to be able to move about more freely. Before I inserted the dummy battery in my Nikon D810, I checked the voltage at the coupling point with my multi-tester as there's still a part of me that doesn't trust a lot of third party accessories, particularly when it is something like power. Output came in at 8.66v, so all is good. I powered the camera on, put it in live view video capture mode with an external, self-powered, pro Sennheiser shotgun mic into an XLR to dual-mono 3.5mm impedence matching adapter and Shure in-ear monitors and it all worked exactly as it should have, including powering the autofocus of an AF-D wide prime lens. No issues at all in the quick, light testing.I'm not -thrilled- with the coupling, but it does hold together well with just friction and, if I need to, it's easy enough to wrap the joint in gaff tape or self-sealing waterproof electrical tape. I'm considering swapping it to something a little more secure, as well as something to better withstand some weather for the purpose of using it with an external battery instead of the AC/DC converter. I don't know how the build quality compares to the Nikon brand, but I would imagine that it's similar. My initial impression is that this is solid/well built, especially for the price, and I would certainly buy it again at this point. I plan to tell some other Nikon shooters I know about it too.

Works fine for my Nikon
I've had a few opportunities to use this adapter in my Nikon D810A, and I've been pleased with it. I've been using the camera to take time-lapse video of the night sky. The Nikon batteries I'd been trying to use don't last more than a few hours working continuously on cold nights. The battery shell fits into the camera perfectly and the adapter works as claimed. The blue light on the inverter is rather bright, but I just lay it face down so it doesn't affect the photos. Since the battery shell is mostly empty, it weighs less than an actual battery. I drag a long extension cord from my house out to where the camera is set up - so needless to say, anyone using this will need standard US 110VAC power for it. If I ever want to use this at a distant site, I have a 12VDC to 110 VAC adapter I can plug into the 12 outlet in my car - but I haven't tried that yet.

Replacement product was provided 24 hours after product stopped working.
I want to update my review from 1 to 4 stars. The warranty on the product is very good. I sent the vendor a message explaining that the product stopped working with the order number. I got a replacement in the next 24 hours. I am very please with the customer service behind the product.Initial Reviewbought this product about 3 months ago. It worked fine for a month, then it started to provide less voltage, by month 2 it was unusable. Waist of money.

Great for long term (Time Lapse) photography.
This dummy battery will not work in a battery grip. HAs to be the only power source for the camera. Why would you need a battery grip anyway if you've got a constant power source?

Saved me during the pandemic!
I'll keep it brief. It does exactly what it's meant for, no issues. Picked it up just as these were going out of stock at the beginning of the pandemic as work and school moved into online meetings...while awful and mediocre old webcams that used to be dirt cheap, were peaking into luxury product pricing. Fortunately, I already had a Nikon Z6 I use for all my photography and videography needs since it came out, so naturally, I tried to figure out if I could use it.2 software tests and 1 dummy battery RMA later, people on video chat and stream have asked without provocation, how my video feed looks good. Lighting is one thing and perhaps more important, but even that could not have saved you from a cheap no definition and no depth-of-field webcam. Glad I jumped on it.

Wow! I don't understand how I didn't know about this adapter before!! It's so helpful!
I use to video recording or stream with several cameras and I always have batteries issues...too short...need to change batteries in the middle of shows. The Gonine Power adapter really helps in these situations when cameras are filming a few hours. It's so comfortable! Really worth it!

My D7000 camera died (stopped working) as soon as I connected the power adapter to it.
My camera was perfectly working. I followed the instructions to connect the power adapter to my camera. I turned off the camera power, took out the camera battery, inserted the power connector into the camera, and finally connected the power adapter to the power outlet. Unfortunately, the camera never turned on back again after I connected the power adapter to the power outlet. Neither I was able to turn on the camera when I put back the camera battery. I am returning the Gonine EP-5B DC Coupler EH-5 AC Power Adapter Charger kit, they will send my money back, but I lost my Nikon 7000 camera.

Works like its supposed to
I'm Temporarily using my Nikon D500, as a web cam, But didn't want to keep worrying about the Batteries, and this Unit works great. I will be later adding the Battery adapter for USB battery Power Banks.. My only Complaint isn't with this unit, BUT the Messenger Program, as you have to make a call to see if the camera is working Correctly, It should come on as soon as you hook up the camera!..
