This product is an excellent alternative to the toxic/deadly insect repellants on the market today. I will NEVER put anything harmful on my dog again! I started using this collar about 2 years ago. It works well. Occasionally the dog may pick up a tick or two, if I take him on a hike in the woods, but around my yard and walking in the neighborhood-- it's perfect. I just make sure I do a tick check after a woodsy walk. My dog has never picked up fleas while wearing this collar. I highly recommend it! I also use a topical essential oil insect repellent that I spray on him as extra protection if I take him in the woods.

They smell great and I am sure they would work really well but the collars were brittle and broke with in an hour of them wearing them.

I have used these collars for years but lately they seem cheaply made. They are great at repelling ticks and fleas but the quality has gone down and they break quite often. Sometimes when simply trying to put it on. This collar only lasted a day and was found snapped. Would be great if they stayed together.

I've switched my dog to more natural flea preventative after a really bad reaction to a prescription one (nexgard). This collar seems to do the job but after all the rain in CA and year round fleas, I double up with Wondercide spray. So far, so good.It's important to note that it's not going to kill the fleas. They might still jump on your pet, but they should be repelled and jump off, so it's still vital to treat your home, bedding, yard...and I use Wondercide for that as well.Also, make sure to keep on top of it. When we get close to the 3 months mark, I notice it's not as efficient.It does have a strong geraniol oil smell right out of the box, but slowly dissipate, that's also a good indicator it's time to change the collar.I alternate between this Alzoo and Earth Animal brands, same collar, just peppermint smell.

we use this in combination with other treatment, and I like it because it smells of cinnamen - kind of strong at first, but over time it is not. Otherwise, it does seem to help.
