This book brings us all together and helps us get closer to eachother but more importantly to God. This book can change your life! It changed mine and I plan to read it again and take time to apply the practical part properly. I appreciated the down-to-earth tone of the book. It's not some lofty message about what God really is looking for in our relationship, but real steps to find the peace of God in your life. The use of scripture ties it all together, from Genesis to Revelation. He wants to be friends with us, every day. Pastor Moore brings real life examples and his personal journey to the text. If he can find this truth in his relationship with God, I can too.

Due to his initial way of addressing his readers, I wasn't sure what to think when I started reading it, but shortly thereafter, Jamie Moore's book began resonating very strongly. I especially enjoy how he includes ways at the end of his chapters that help readers on how they can approach attaining and maintaining a relationship with God. He has an uplifting perspective which is encouraging and inspiring. I've been a Christian for many years and this is a breath of fresh air whether you're searching, or a new or seasoned believer. We're to become a friend of Jesus in order to make more friends of Jesus.

Our small group enjoyed this book as a 12 week study. The personal stories to start each chapter support the spiritual lesson to follow. The Friendship Freebies were a great addition to enhance the study.

We find ourselves discussing different themes that are carried through the entire Book giving comfort in understanding God's plan for each of us.We are finding Moore's thoughts of how to be "friends" with God and being with Him on a daily, moment by moment basis challenging. Moore, however, doesn't leave us just with the challenge, he engages us in ways to be in God's presence and be how to be His "friends" answering His demand to us as His disciples.
