Bugs for pumpkins
The bugs glow really well in UV light. These bugs have become real fun when decorating for Halloween! We use them on everything. We have our grandkids help put them on the pumpkins and all the other creatures in the yard on halloween. We the then bath the area in UV lights. They really are creepy and really cool!

Awesome glow-in-the-dark insects and creatures!
I’ll use these cool glow-in-the-dark insects to enhance my Oogie Boogie Halloween costume! I put the bag over a small lamp for a few hours tonight. I’ll see if they are still glowing in the morning!

They Help Potty Train
The media could not be loaded.  Hey, I’m James Brains with the Brains Report, and this is my video review of the Glow in the Dark Critter Assortment from Rhode Island Novelty. There are 3 main reasons why we like the Glow in the Dark Critters:1. Cheap – We paid about $8 for them, and they’re even cheaper now.2. Urine – In order to earn a critter, my kid has to pee in the potty. So, they’re helping potty train him.3. Glow – You have to put them by a light for about a minute, but they really do glow.Let’s not beat around the bush here: these are cheap plastic. If you go into this purchase knowing that, you will not be disappointed. The plastic is razor thin. There are about 14 different types of critters. I bought these because they provide my son with gross (144) incentives to go pee like a big boy. We also handed some out at Halloween with mixed reviews. But, hey, no one TPed or egged our house! We’ve had the critters for a little over a month now, and Bucky still hasn’t peed enough to earn them all. Nonetheless, they are all over the floor in every room of our house. Fortunately, they feel a lot better than Legos on the feet.Overall, I would give these critters five stars. If you have any questions, please comment below. I’m here to help.

Activate in light for the glow!
So these are a thin plastic and thats exactly what I expected. That being said they GLOW. They really do, I think people forget or may not know that you have to put them under light or sunlight to activate them before they'll glow.

Not Glowing!!
The quality was really cheap: the critters are hollow, many still had the extra plastic from the molds hanging from them, and many came with distorted heads!!. Luckily the extra plastic is soft and not a hazard: I removed some of it to check for potential cuts. It was very useful for my science lessons which is why I bought them. However, the advertising is deceiving as most of the critters do not glow. Some of the boys in my class said that they didn't glow at all so I checked them later in a dark room and I discovered that only about 1/4 of a whole bag will glow decently, the rest just barely, and about 1/4 do not glow at all. However, this item could be a good buy for pinatas as quantity, not quality, is what many parents need to fill them. The critters have a decent size (over 1 inch long), are soft, can get trampled without breaking, and each bag has a good variety.

Fun for art project involving lots of critters!
So many critters! I used these for an art project. They worked best with hot glue. Some of the critters had like 'hanging chads' of plastic on them, so I think they work better as a mass effect rather than more detailed work. The glow in the dark worked well, and lasted about an hour after being exposed to light. The critters were: grasshopper, cockroach, centipede, snake, octopus, and a few other random cockroach-like bugs I couldn't name!
