I have purchased this almond butter four times and like it, but I recently read on the Internet that almonds are "particularly susceptible to absorbing pesticides due to the thin skin surrounding the nut. Recent data shows that there are nine different chemicals used as pesticides that show up frequently in almonds and almond products. All of these pesticides are known to have negative effects on human health and may damage the environment." Sadly, the almonds in Big Spoon Almond Butter are not organic. From now on I will purchase organic almond butter, such as Amazon's 365 Organic Almond Butter.Update: Big Spoon Customer Service writes that they use integrative pest management to reduce or eliminate the amount of pesticides sprayed on their almonds. I suggest that they go the next step and completely eliminate pesticides from their almonds! Already too many of our fruits and vegetables are heavily sprayed with pesticides. We don't need additional pesticides in our almond butter.

UPDATE:3rd time im sent JUST ONE instead of the two I ordered on subscription!I don't get why this keeps on happening. I love the product but don't want to buy one at a time because it's a little more expensive buying one at a time.so let me start off by saying, I 100% plan to continue buying this. However, im frustrated because it now has been twice that I order the two pack, get charged the two pack price but only receive ONE!I don't want to continue asking for a refund, because I am keeping one but returns are not an option. And I don't feel right getting a refund but come on...two times in a row?!?! What's going on??

Okay friends, this is not your usual almond butter. I had a sample in a Whole Foods store and my eyes popped. The ginger makes a difference. It was like biting into a cookie it was so good--and no sugar! Its pricier, but you're getting organic almonds and fiji ginger-- and a whole lot more flavor. I buy plain almond butter for sandwiches, and use this for when I want that special flavor. I eat it plain, it's so good. It is a staple for me now. It is THE BEST.

I am "target audience" for anything that smells or tastes like coconut, but that aside, this is amazingly delicious almond butter. It's chock full of yummy toasted coconut (I mean REALLY full) and is simply wonderful. I also love their cinnamon maple pecan and peanut butter, so it's not just a coconut thing. The recipe makers at Big Spoon might take exception to this in the event they are purists, but I mixed the coconut almond butter with the cinnamon maple pecan and peanut butter and like it even more (if that's possible) than either of the ones individually. The coconut almond butter isn't sweet and the cinnamon maple pecan is, so the mix is just perfection. Buy both and try it. You're welcome! :)

Wow. I anticipated that the Chai Almond & Peanut butter would be good... but I underestimated how delicious it would be!! What a fabulous mingling of flavors, not to mention the satisfying crunch in the texture. Big Spoon Roasters absolutely nailed it, and I’m so glad I came across this product on Amazon. I watch my sugars and carbs, so I use this as my breakfast- a spoonful straight from the jar (okay, maybe two spoonfuls because I have no willpower) and a low carb Greek yogurt is all I need. Get you some!!!

I was super excited to try this, but I was initially hesitant because my jar had two Best By dates and one of them had already passed. I messaged the company on Instagram inquiring about this and they said they weren’t quite sure how this had happened, but they confirmed that the product was made on 4/8/2021 and the Best By date is 4/8/2022. I docked one star for this confusion because I do believe they need to be more careful so as to avoid generating doubts regarding the product’s freshness.I went ahead and tried it because the contents of the jar looked fine, and I’m truly amazed by how well they captured the carrot cake flavor in a nut butter. I would definitely repurchase!

I’ve been ordering things on Amazon for 6 years now, and this is the first time I’m writing a review.I’ve been on a hunt for food products to try, and this came up in my search. I decided to give it a try, even though it’s more expensive than store brands (like Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods). It’s similar priced to other artisanal/smaller business nut butters, but man. What a flavor! It tastes chocolatey, salty and sweet, but above all - there are delicious crunchy chunks of almonds, they taste amazing! I’ve had some almond butters that would taste a little bitter - this is far from it. It’s very high quality, also beautiful jar, packaging and the box it came in. I’m hooked forever! Please never stop making this deliciousness.

I really wanted to like this product after having sampled the ProBar brand of almond and coconut nut butters (which are ruinously expensive). The chunky, grittiness was a little too much and leaves you working but chunks out of your teeth for a good 15 minutes after a spoonful. The flavor of the coconut was a very mild hint. I don’t know if they should have put a drop of honey in there or some salt but overall the taste was a bit too bland for the price you pay. I will say that it did taste really fresh but that’s just not a redeeming enough feature for me.

I like the taste, consistency of the nut-butter. Delicious! Use it on keto crackers.Gone through the first jar already, will be ordering more.Wonderful product!
