This is an excellent series and I can't say enough good things!
My toddler LOVES Ladybug Girl, and these learn-to-read books are a nice length and rhythm for bedtime. Because they're designed as learning readers, they have simple language and a natural reading rhythm and after reading them only a few times my daughter (2.5) can "read" them to me by retelling the simple story - fun for her and me.

Accessible for emerging readers
This is easier to read than the formal picture books that are the anchor of the Lady Bug Girl series. That makes it immediately accessible to fans who are starting to read on their own. It seems a bit easy for a 7-year-old, but it's perfect for the 4-5, maybe 6-year-old set.

Nice books but too easy for our first grade reader ...
Nice books but too easy for our first grade reader ( who is reading at a 2.9 level). But she liked the books because they went well together with a ladybug quilt and reading pillow
