yes. I checked the codes, and also had a bottle from paris when it came it 1st came out. seems real.

Is this for a younger man or older man?

This is for a more mature man, not in age but in how they carry themselves. This isn't a party club scent its closer to a yacht club scent. Great date night scent if you are going for a nice dinner and a show.

Why would the packaging for this product vary from the one shown in the image?

The packaging varies for Guerlain's different but similar products. For example the Eau De Toilett and the Parfum are presented in the same bottle shape differi ng in color however. The fragrance differs as well. The box packaging differs in color also. Regarding this fragrance, I skip around using my fragrances. Today I used the Perfum here but only for one spray. If traveling with others, go lightly.
