Smithsonian Rock and Roll: Live and Unseen

I bought this as a gift for a friend who has MS and just went into long term care. I wanted to send something unique to cheer him up and not the typical flowers or candy. He loved it and it kept him entertained for weeks.

Great book! Pix were fantastic and overall look was well-done!

Excellent book. Great pictures with informative text.

A high school classmate of mine is the author. He has spent a lifetime (our 50th reunion is in June) in the music business. His knowledge runs the gamut of the industry, and the Smithsonian commissioned the book. Those are recommendations enough for any author. I bought this for my son, who has a band.

I though and hoped for more in-depth information about the bands. You basically get a paragraph or 2. I'll keep it, however I'm going to look for something more detailed.
