SwaddleMe Original Swaddle 5-PK, Grays for Days, Small

The swaddles arrived used with baubled fabric and stains!!! Totally unacceptable for a baby product!

I loved this pack of 5 swaddles so that we had enough to rotate through (in the beginning). BUT the patterned swaddles shrunk where as the solid colored ones didn't? It wasn't an issue until baby got bigger. Eventually we could no longer use the patterned ones. They got too small and the Velcro wouldn't reach across or hold. Baby never got big enough to justify buying more in the next size (14 lbs) before we started to transition out of the swaddle. These worked great while they lasted and still fit. I would recommend these swaddles for a newborn. We would use them again (if needed).

We got a 3 pack of these swaddles for our baby shower and LOVED them so I was thrilled to order more. But this 5 pack of swaddles were noticeably smaller than the 3 pack. Additionally, they've added a hole in the back for straps such as baby swings - I would never have a baby swaddled in a swing so I'm not sure why they thought this was a good idea. Also, baby's foot occasionally got caught in it when kicking in his sleep.

These are great and honestly deserve a 5 star rating. However, my son was born breach so he has those "breach legs" that frog out and having his legs closely bonded like these do make him roll his torso to one side. I'm hoping that once his legs setting in we can use these more because the fabric and quality is absolutely outstanding! If they had a wide-leg option these would be perfect for me so I assume that they would be perfect for most babies without this obstacle. Below is a list of my pros and cons: PROS: •Fabric quality and stretch for swaddling snugly •The drop down Velcro for easy diaper changing and being able to keep babe swaddled during changing •Affordable •Velcro quality •Place for car seat/stroller seatbelt to come through swaddle Cons: •Does not allow much wide room in the leg area for "breach baby legs"

buy these. seriously. my baby punched out of traditional wrap swaddles almost immediately no matter how we wrapped them. these are like little baby straight jackets that keep your baby secure and snug and happy. we use them every night and at nap time. velcro is strong, definitely a little loud though, so make sure you have the swaddle open and prepped in the crib before trying to put your baby in it. don’t want to be ripping velcro with an almost asleep baby nearby. also, utilize the foldable velcro flaps when you put in the washing machine so the velcro doesn’t attach to any of your other clothes.
