Avoid these at all costs. Extremely difficult to open the locking latch. Extremely difficult to re-close locking latch. And, most importantly, extremely difficult to use: requires max pressure from both hands to clip most toenails, even when nails are not unusually or especially thick. I mean all of the "extremely"'s; I should really have doubled them. These stand out as unambiguously, absolutely useless. I've been meaning to purchase a better quality nail clipper for some time...the little inexpensive ones that I seem to keep buying and misplacing really aren't very well made and seem to lose their edge quickly and give a jagged cut (or don't really cut through the nail at all and tear the nail). I've never actually seen one of this type before...I remember my Dad had an expensive manicure/pedicure set that he picked up on one of his overseas travels decades ago and it featured a couple of similar designs--they were very heavy and precisely made, but they were not as large as this one. I was a bit surprised when this arrived--it looks a little scary and powerful enough to belong with my husband's collection of hand tools! I did not realize the curve of the blade was so pronounced either; being a bit of a klutz, I was a bit wary of using it at first but it turned out to be fairly easy to use once I got the hang of it. I am embarrassed to say I wasn't exactly sure how to use this implement and I had to look it up online to see if the convex curve should be facing the nail (no) or away from the nail (yes) to help prevent injury because neither orientation looked quite right to me. The very ends of the curved portion don't really cut at all--not sure if that is how it is supposed to be, but the middle portion of the clippers is very sharp and these cut effortlessly. It certainly is efficient--my toenails are done in a few seconds (and my toes are still intact!) I have been impressed with the quality of other Tweezerman products that I own, so I'm sure these will last for years and years. I'm happy with my purchase and consider my money well spent.

Very nice clipper, but my wife couldn't unlock it. It took me a long time to force the release open. spent 20 minutes trying to re-lock it. Instead I just placed it in the night stand drawer.

Ett precisionsverktyg. Man ser bra hur man klipper. Kräver en del kraft vid klippning. En hake ska hålla ijop skänklarna när tången inte används. Den haken är besvärlig.

Tenía entendido que Tweezerman era una marca de referencia en alicates para uñas, en mi caso, sin embargo, el producto no podía ser peor. Sencillamente no cortaba, así, sin más, ni mucho ni poco, no cortaba. Un producto absolutamente inútil y que ni tan siquiera he podido devolver porque, culpa exclusivamente mía, lo usé por primera vez pasado el plazo de devolución. Cuando contacté con el servicio de atención al cliente de Tweezerman me contestaron que ellos sólo daban servicio en los Estados Unidos y cuando les pregunté, porque el artículo está fabricado en Italia, si podrian facilitarme los datos de contacto de su fábrica italiana para dirigirme a ellos... su respuesta fue que me arregle con Amazon. Lo dicho, peor imposible.
