I'm old - grew up using lots of different systems: CPM, BBC basic for CNC control, dxf files and of course DOS commands among others, and I thought I'd better have a play with a Raspberry Pi. And why not? But - partly because I'm familiar with other other programming tools and I keep using the wrong instructions, but also, I don't find this as intuitive as it makes out to be [my fault too? Probably!]. It doesn't help by not explaining the terminology, and some of the downloaded instructions simply didn't work as printed - I needed to refer online and modify accordingly, but everything seems OK on the practical side.Having taught electronics using discrete components as well as ICs through to PICs, I would have preferred different values of resistors - to anyone with colour deficiencies it will be difficult to differentiate between those supplied.Moreover, I would recommend copying all the programming files with amended filenames, to play with modifying the programs without bodging the originals - just a thought.Lastly, I would have appreciated the coding to clear / reset the IO pins between each prog: I would never try to set-up a new circuit with the pin outputs still active.Nevertheless, I'm having some fun, which was the whole point, I think.

The tutorial that can be downloaded from the Freenove web site for this Kit is very clear and concise. For a beginner wanting to learn Programming using the Raspberry Pi PC this is the ideal kit to purchase to get you started. Therefore I would recommend purchasing this Kit, because there are a number of simple projects that can be assembled very easily to get you started and running programmes in 'C' or Python Code.

First impressions very good. Comes neatly packed in plastic case with contact info etc clearly displayed. All the small components are neatly bagged and labelled, and the larger items with delicate pins installed on the bread board. Bought this when shopping for a T-clobber, but thought the sum of the parts here made for much better value.

Very vague instuctions, not a very good kit, better kits for less money available on eBay
