Good Book
**********Contains Spoilers**********I thoroughly enjoyed this book but man was it an emotional roller coaster. The pain both Cole and Elizabeth suffered through having a partially formed true mate bond that was left unresolved for over a decade was horrible. I’m glad she done it for to save her pack even though she was completely wrong but both of them paid the price. I was wondering how Elizabeth could make it up to me after rejecting Cole her true mate and boy did she. I loved their connection when they finally let go of the hurt and agreed to start fresh and look forward into the future instead of the past. I loved how supportive of Elizabeth’s decision about representing Luke Larken even though he wasn’t happy about it he believes and respects her enough to try it her way. I’m glad that Zach did the right thing when notifying the Council about their mating and telling them that they’ve both been through so much and have been living half a life for over a decade so they won’t be forced into the challenges plus their bond fully clicked into place anyway. I think it’s stupid that true mates are forced into the Challenges so hopefully they get that archaic law because as Thomas put it there are laws to state that if an Alpha or Alpha Heir meet their true mate and they happen to be k*lled in the Challenges their wolf wouldn’t let them bond to the winner so the winner would rule with the Alpha or Alpha Heir but not as their mate, they’re also not permitted to taking a mate as it would cause issues with the Alpha or Alpha Heir’s wolf so why not make it for all true mate bonds.I loved how Elizabeth, her sisters and Lily all finally got together and were completely honest with each other instead of hiding behind a smile. The Sister Power moment was funny and completely cracked me up how annoyed Thomas was that they’ve started that sh*t again and that they used to either not allow him to join them because he’s a boy or dress him up in their clothes and do his hair. I had tears in my eyes when Elizabeth showed Cole via their bond what Thomas looked like as a girl especially when Cole completely lost it bending over holding his stomach laughing so loudly. I loved getting the epilogue but I would’ve loved reading a couple of chapters after everything went down with the Larkens’ and Elizabeth and Cole instead of skipping the aftermath completely. Like Zander and Jason okay and who saved them but it’s probably either because the book is from Elizabeth and Cole’s POV so since they’d be completely away with the fairies they wouldn’t know what happened after everything went down or it could be because it would probably be hard to write and maybe no one else cares what happened until the epilogue. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, Westin World Universe and author to everyone.

Could have been better
Book jumps right into the thick of what happened years ago. It tells it 1st person recap. The MC tells us what happened. I really wish that it would have showed us what happened rather then tell. Telling glosses over it all quickly. And with the things that happen it would have been such a good punch to the gut to have gotten to read while it was happening.SpoilersOff the bat I'm not likeing Elizabeth. Her pov makes it seem like it wasnt all her choice and doing. She rejected and pushed him away. She loved someone else and was fine with it even after seeing cole. She only had a change of heart because she figured out she would be mating into a horrible pack. It had nothing to do with the mating call or her heart. And then she never even tried to see or talk to him. She expected him to come once he learned she didnt mate and was back home. While some deep emotions are talked about it all still felt surface level. All the action overshadowed them.I hate that we never got to see any of their HEA. Last chapter ends like a cliffhanger and picks up in the epilogue to tell us what happened. It glosses over 2 months of time and then has them going to start their lives together but we don't get a glimpse of any of it. I would have liked to know about how they split time between 2 packs and if they have kids. And I know her sisters all get books in the rest of the series but I like to know these things 1st person from someone else's story

Read Westin series first
It lists as Book 1 in the Collier pack series, but it was a continuation of characters from another series. It was a little confusing trying to keep up with who was who in relation to Elizabeth and Cole. All their back stories were mentioned but it was more of a deterrent from the real story which was Elizabeth and Cole coming to terms with their true mate bond. They spent years apart and their past was vaguely reference. I personally think it would have been beneficial to read actual scenes throughout the years for both of them. Perhaps they were mentioned in the previous series, but as a first time reader, I had difficulty making the emotional connection from the past experiences to present feelings. It was a good story all in all, but if you haven't read the Westin pack series, it's a bit confusing why all these characters are involved.

Great start !
I will say I was a little hesitant about this book knowing that Cole's pain from lossing his mate. I wasn't sure Elizabeth could be redeemed for making Cole live without his mate, so I waited on reading this new series. Now I am kicking myself as to why I would think Julie Trettel would let me down. I really enjoyed the whole thing but thank you for the epilogue, your daughter was right 😉

Heartbreak--everlasting love
I felt so awfull for Cole, upsetband even angry. I read about Westins before Collier. With Cole having confessed to Lily made it even harder. But then heard Elizabeth's side of things, helped but not as much. I was upset that she thought of pack before Cole but when it was over she should have gotten in touch with him because she was the bad guy! But it was different so kept you interested!

Breathe Again (Collier Pack Book 1)
The love story of Cole and Elizabeth. Unknown to Cole and Elizabeth, they started their bond fifteen years ago. She wanted to save the Collier Pack by mating with a very wealthy South American future alpha but she learn that pack were drugs dealer, it did not work out. Now Cole is back will the mating bond be complete it? Great story.

It Is Darkest Just Before the Love!
Have you ever wondered about love refuted, about love suppressed, about love held back? Have you ever thought about the bitterness that could fill your heart and mind because the one you truly love doesn't love you back? Then read this story and learn that all things could be possible to them who believe in love!

Good book
I enjoyed this book. I was happy that Elizabeth & Cole didn’t drag out their issue for too long and was able to overcome it sooner than later so that I can enjoy watching their relationship grow from their difficult past. I liked this book and can see me reading it again.
