Very nice set, lots of variety and sizes
I’ve not been so excited about an Amazon order in ages so I got these to the Work bench quickly. I’d read some not so favorable reviews but was certain these were as great as I wanted them to be and I’m not disappointed! I gave these a try on a single layer of 4oz leather. I was gentle with them, odd shapes and thinner body construction won’t take harsh hits and untempered slams. Using a Teflon mallet I tapped these into the leather slow and steady. They cut beautifully! The larger pieces tend to want to see-saw but that is to be expected if you’re working one end then the other to keep it from walking. I used a wide variety of the various options and you can see the shapes are nearly pristine. At first I thought my older lunch board with its many scars was the culprit but upon closer examination I could see the issue was consistent and at the point of the welded closure. Could this be better? Yes. But not at this price point!! A simple exact knife will clean up that minor fuzz that is left at the seam. On thicker leather or multiple layers I expect it to be less of an issue. I marked some of these fuzzy edges in the third image. Other than that, these are amazing. This wide range of punches are a welcome and impressive addition to my collection And my husband was very impressed and maybe a bit jealous.

A really well made set. Works with clay too
Very nice set. I’m using them like little cutters for polymer clay work. They are perfect. They are so well made that the seams don’t show up in your work at all. I was really pleased with how nice they were. I think they we’re more than fair priced. The shapes are not the average shapes you get in a cutter set. They are a bit more unusual which is nice. I’m enjoying using these in my art.

Does the job pretty well for a bargain price
Most shapes I've used cut easily through medium weight leather. I struggled a little on thicker leather but could still get the job done with some patience. The only complaint I have is that the pieces are short, so there's not a lot of space to get a good grip on it with your fingers and keep them out of the way of the hammer. It's still fine, it would just be easier if the pieces were a tiny bit taller.

Great for leather crafts
Well worth the money even if you only use it once

Quality
Just received the die set ,i was very unsure reading the reviews but very glad I bought this set . They punch with little effort going through 8 mill veg tan I would not us a hammer with out some sort of flat hard surface between the hammer and die to distribute the shock the shock could break the spot weld so I us the small arbor press or you could us a drill press . The punches give a great clean side to the hole zero depression in the leather like you get with leather punches, so now the question is how long will they last only time will tell but will be very easy to hone or sharpen ,there are small sizes in this kit you could never punch in leather with the normal leather punch just not going to happen so for me this is great and price there like free at 13.00 bucks you could buy one leather punch and spend easily $20 .00 or more depending on brand so this kit is a winner with 4 stars.

Solid, yet small
3 stars overall because they need to add more pictures of the exact size. Much smaller than imagined. I did like the organizer box they come in. Solid metal material, not flimsy.

works well with arbor press
i’ve used it for 6 leather cuts and so far so good using a 1.5 ton arbor press. when using these cutters, i layer goods into my press as follows (starting with the bottom layer) : hard surface such as a cutting board, scrap end grain wood, scrap leather, leather to be punched, punch cutter, wood to protect the punch/help distribute the force. so far everything has cut like butter and hopefully the layered precautions i take will help protect sharpness of the blade. thumbs up for the price point

Dies are ok
These cutting dies are ok if you are wanting to make small items. They are not very big and there are three different sizes for each shape. However, there is not even room between the three sizes to combine them into one design like using an over then cutting the center out of the oval. It leaves a very thin line which leaves you design very delicate. However, the dies are made ok, they do leave a little flaw in your shape after cutting where the metal connects together and they are not very sharp. They will work in clay well, but as for leather you would need to sharpen them often and sharpen them before your fist use. They are durable and will stand up as far as I can tell. I will keep them use them as single designs.
