HYPAFIX did NOT bother my skin, and it is very BREATHABLE. it also sticks to WEEPING skin common with stony problems. I have skin folds that sweat and I use this product for tissue degradation and getting my ostomies to stay longer. I first apply calamine lotion on the very weepy areas, I let the Calamine dry for a brief time. ORIGINAL calamine lotion drys and absorbes weeping the best for me and and drys quickly. Although i have several retention product options , only the HYPAFIX tape adheres to the lotion , or yeast cream etc and still STICKS! Yet can also be removed easily. I am amazed at this since I used a McKesson tape that seemed to be identical, but I went into a "scratching scraping rage" with that, whereas - for whatever reason HYPAFIX did not make me scratch so badly. * Note to usage * use sharp szizzors from the paper side to cut. If you cut from the cloth side, it sticks to the szizzors. not a really big deal but annoying. ALSO: After it is cut, it is hard to get off the paper backing, BUT here is the fool proof trick. Place your finger or thumb on the TAPE side, on the OUTER EDGE of the tape strip and lightly pull your finger over the tape towards the middle. It will start to come off the backing and then you can easily apply. I start on the middle edge verses either end, but try what works best. ALSO it is 2 INCHES wide but is split - when you want that width to one inch. I use both for different sites. HYPAFIX also sticks to the cloth of an ostomy bag and skin simultaneously if you want it too. I certainly would try it. at $10 for 10 YARDS it is a great bargain and many home uses too. Buy this. This is the tape, if you want it to stick to your skin.

I’ve had a great experience with this Hypafix retention tape. It sticks securely without being too harsh on my skin and helps keep dressings in place throughout the day. This tape is much better than most adhesives. It’s breathable and doesn’t pull the skin when removing.

This was recommended by my surgeon for holding a Telfa pad in place over a surgical wound on a toe. I've changed it twice a day for the last week which has given me a good chance to how well it works. I've used lots of different kinds of tape over the years, but this beats them all. It's flexible enough to conform with a curved surface although it has very little stretch. The adhesive sticks very well but comes off easily and cleanly, and the stripper tape is easy to remove. Rubbing on socks and sheets doesn't lift corners. No blood leaks through. There's just nothing not to like about it.

This has to be the best medical tape I've found for people that are sensitive to tapes on their skin and I've tried them all through the years!! I have a skin condition where I breakout in abcesses all the time and have to tape bandages. Most tapes immediately start breaking me out and sometimes rips my skin. My new doctor told me to try this and it's been a God send to me!! It's super easy to peel and stick. It sticks for as long as you leave it on your skin and I've left it for 2 days one time. My only complaint is I wish it came in a clear tape and different sizes since it's so wide.
