I wish it was softer but I like your product

In relatively recent reviews, its been noted that newer skeins are not matching older skeins. From what I understand, it's because Red Heart is having to resource places and people to manufacture the products (likely culprit: Miss Rona).Well, it holds true here. The color difference isn't big, but it *is* noticeable. If you're working a larger, monochrome project, you might want to get all new yarn so it matches up right. If you're doing small projects or using stripes or color blocks, you might be fine.As for me, I found that the (current) new Burgundy is a big lighter than my skein from a couple years ago, without missing any fullness of color. It has a bit of a shiny look. I'm crocheting a shawl, and I actually rather like how its turning out with the change halfway through.While my old yarn would have occasional "rough" spots in the yarn where the fibers seemed more tightly woven than the rest of the yarn, the current yarn hasn't shown any spots like that yet, and indeed seems softer overall! It's just as easy to work with, and the label's reminder on how to pull the inner string is, as always, appreciated.[Image ID: A red crocheted shawl, folded over. Cheaper than store bought by a little bit. Good product

I really like Red Heart yarns, especially the Super Saver and the Super Saver Jumbo. I've been using this brand since I was a teenager.So, when I had a request to make a Burgundy afghan for a relative, I ordered the Burgundy Super Saver Jumbo. But I wish I knew before ordering that the Burgundy shown on Amazon isn't actually as dark as shown on the web site. It's actually more of a dark red and not a true Burgundy.I ended up going through a different well-known fabric store retailer that also has an online storefront and I found the Claret color that better matches to a true Burgundy.In the photo attached, the Claret is the top skein, the Burgundy is the bottom skein. The only downside is that the Claret isn't available in the Super Saver Jumbo, just the Super Saver. It was still a good deal.

It's the typical red heart worsted/medium weight acrylic yarn so don't expect it to be extremely soft. I love how big it is, it’s great for the price and the dark red color is beautiful

I have been searching for this particular color for a project for months! I was lucky to find it here and will post the finished product when done. Red heart is always the best in value, choices and holds up very very well with being washed.

My sister has requested more placemats for her table with the same pattern I used for her before, but this time in spring and fall colors. This is one of the fall colors she chose. They are utilitarian so not looking for softness per say, but this is easy on my hands.

Super fast shipping, product exactly what I was looking for! Packaged well with each super saver jumbo yarn individually packaged in plastic. Burgundy color was especially affordable compared to the other colors that were offered. Very happy with this purchase!

Great quality but it do crochet up rather firm/stiff. Washing the item should help with this point but otherwise it's exactly as expected! Overall a good yarn!

Made a great jumper for granddaughter

Major disappointment. The thread breaks easily. I made a blanket with it and it is falling apart ☹️

I ordered 2 balls of burgundy for a blanket, I received 2 balls with different dye lot numbers, which means the colours are not the quite the same,
