Lovely brown glaze!
I was impressed with this glaze. I like the mayco elements, but the swatches are usually kind of misleading or hard to achieve without having to run a couple of tests just to see how they actually fire with their unique variables… this was my first attempt with this color and it worked out beautifully. Sponge-applied 3-4 coats to 04 bisqueware, then glaze fired to 05.5. Results in earthy “patina” or “rusty” look with a smooth, glossy finish… varying floaty browns with metallic copper shimmer throughout, excellent coverage. Love it. Thank you!!

Nice when you use 2 coats not 3 coats per the instructions
This is real pretty over textured surfaces with shiny, golden spots. On smooth items - it needs some extra blobs of glaze on the top rim to get the full effect. DON'T use 3 coats or it will run down the stilts and onto the kiln shelf.

Not like the photo
My first use of this glaze. I expected more of a metallic result. The interior has some beautiful metallic ( blue!) highlights where the glaze was extra thick. But as you see the exterior ….. camel brown…. Like an old coat. Extra coats next time.

Read the review
I raku bisque and glaze first thing! So this is 1.25 hours at max 1911°F for 30 minutes so it's super fast but I like the results. There is a glitter and a high gloss that make it look wonderful. Wanted a redder/copper hue instead of the chocolate but I do it different, so it's probably my fault. I recommend 👌
