I have serious issues with these, even though I gave them 4 stars. I got these support stockings for relief from burning feelings in varicose veins and for tired legs. They are the best-working ones I have used compared to other brands (T.E.D., Covidien, & others whose names have since washed out) - meaning that they gave me the most relief for the longest time each day. I have had them and worn them for 3 months at this writing. Because they work so well (albeit with adaptations) I feel that for me, they are definitely a 4 star product, even though they are not perfect. I plan to order several more pairs of these in the near future. PROS - these work very well for me for relief of varicose vein burning and tired legs, the leg portion fits perfectly and they don’t slide or fall down all day (my calf measures 13” at the widest point), sometimes I can work all day with them on and feel energetic with no discomfort. They are beige colored and seem fairly unobtrusive, color-wise. They seem stronger than other brands and have retained their strength better than other kinds over the 3 months that I have used them. CONS- they are EXTREMELY hard to put on and sometimes even harder to take off. I have shoulder pain, wrist weakness, and tendinitis that can make it very painful to put them on, too, as well as difficult because they are so strong and so tight. I have to work up the energy, extra time, patience, concentration, strength and resolve to put them on each morning (and to take them off at the end of the day!), but the relief they provide me has definitely been worth it. The foot portion of the new stockings was way too tight for my feet (I tried them for a week the way they were made and I couldn’t wear them for more than an hour or so) and they actually hurt my feet to the point I could not put up with it (I wear size 9 women’s shoes). However, I have fixed that problem by cutting off the toe end of the foot part of the stocking and leaving the heel and the ankle part of the stocking. Cutting off about 2-2.5” of the toe end has made them the most comfortable stockings ever – plus has made them much less difficult to put on. They are not particularly attractive hacked off, and threads do tend to fray in the long run, but they are so tightly knit that it has not been a problem for me to use them this way- I just snip off any loose threads as they appear. I do tend to wear thin cotton socks over them so the hacked off part is not visible. They also tend to take a long time to dry each night after hand washing, but if I put them near a heat or A/C register it can help them dry them overnight.

I have owned many many pairs of these over the years as I have orthostatic hypotension. It gets really bad when it's hot so I get very dizzy and nauseous. My cardiologist recommended I try these instead of medication since the meds can be pretty dangerous and I am still very young... I had a pair of compression socks of another brand that were sheer and super duper uncomfortable. They dug into the area at the top of my foot and left giant marks on my feet. I did think the socks were helping but I knew I needed to try some other options. I got these and I absolutely love them. They are comfortable, a good price, fit well, and overall they've been very durable. They do not dig into the tops of my feet or crush my ankles like my old ones. I have pairs of all kinds- open toe, closed toe, knee high, and thigh high. I prefer the open toe for the most part since I am typically wearing them in the summer, but they can be a little bunchy if you are wearing sneakers. If you notice them slipping at all I recommend getting a product called it stays. A little roll on tube that keeps everything in place. I use them with my thigh highs and they do not budge an inch even if I wear them all day long. The beige can look pretty grandma and medical, but I really love that they finally started making white as they just look like normal knee high socks and can be a cute preppy look. Now I only wish they would make some colors and patterns!

I’ve bought these three different times for my lymphedema, and my second pair I realized was a fake. It’s hard to tell unless you check closely. The fake one feels slightly thinner and the lining in the inside is longer and looser. It took me months to figure out why it seemed my second pair didn’t seem to be compressing much and it was because the one I received was a dupe. So be careful, if it’s a fake try to return it because it doesn’t work if you really need it to compress. Thankfully my third pair was a genuine one, buying these here is like gambling but it’s a better price than physical stores…

I am currently pregnant and work on my feet ALL DAY. I also live in Florida and have been pregnant all summer. During my 17th week I fell and fractured my ankle. So in addition to the typical pregnancy swelling, I had post traumatic injury swelling in my left ankle. These compression socks have been a lifesaver. Having my toes out means I can wear sandals and they also allow me to stay cooler. Without them my feet and ankles are a swollen, painful mess by 9:00 in the morning. With them I can walk through a Disney theme park (in August) essentially without discomfort. Yes, they are warmer than walking around with bare legs, but it's not very noticeable in my opinion. I'll take a slight increase in temperature over the pain and discomfort from swelling. I have several pairs of compression stockings and these are the only ones I will wear. Note: I paid FULL PRICE for these darn things and consider it money very well spent.

Product was order based on the size specs we previously ordered and recommended by our Doctor. Unfortunately the product fitted much tighter than another manufacturer we ordered from before. Be careful of sizing. May want to go one size up.
