Awesome drill, Great Price & Made in the USA
I was installing towing brackets to my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Instructions called for a 17/32” drill bit. This one had great reviews and a decent price. So I gave it a shot. I had 4 holes to drill through the bumper which was easy as the metal was pretty thin. Then I needed to drill 4 holes through the front tubular frame. Using a Ryobi, 18 V hand drill I was able to easily cut through the frame. I didn’t think I could do it this drill bit made it possible. There’s many more holes left in this bit! And I’m told it’s American made!

Very nice!!
The drill bit comes in it's own square plastic tube, which is nice as it wont roll around in the drawer when stored. This looks like a quality tool right out of the tube. This 37/64 bit is the drill size for a 3/8 NPT tap, which is what I needed and why I bought it. I use a couple smaller drills to step up to this one and this drill cuts great. When I put the tap in, it fit perfect and make a nice set of cut threads. I would recommend and I will be buying more drills from this Champion in the future.

High quality American made drill bit, superlative finish and accuracy
High quality American made drill bit, with superlative finish and accuracy, I have been using these for some time for my lathe work- they give clean, accurate holes, rapid cut, and concentric center and accurate lip grind helps keep your hole from wandering. If you can use a cheap bit, can tolerate as less than perfect hole, and plan to discard after use- go for it- I understand the need to save money- But if you need clean pretty work, and plan to use over and over, this is a good option- These drills are very durable, and can be re-sharpened easily- so if they are treated with normal care, they will last a very long time. As a wise friend once pointed out to me " I am too poor to buy cheap stuff." I have reached an age where I really really understand what he means- Quality supports you for the long haul- choose carefully-

Works great
I purchased this to drill holes through a medium duty truck frame and it worked excellent.

Very disappointed. Bought two and both broke
I was changing out the wheel studs on our tractor and needed to enlarge the hole from circa 5/8th to 43/64th. At first I purchased a cheap bit and that one wouldn't cut so I bought the Champion thinking it would be higher quality. Well first problem I had was the Champion was ground too aggressive so it kept hanging up my drill. During one of these hang ups the first Champion bit I bought chipped so I bought a second bit and a more powerful drill figuring that would solve the issue. While I was out looking for a more powerful drill I also purchased an Irwin 11/16th bit just in case I broke another bit. Well the Champion bit still had issues with the new drill and once again chipped badly after drilling 3 more holes. So I figured I would try the Irwin bit and hopefully I would be able to finish the job and to my immense surprise the Irwin bit zipped right through with ZERO issues. It had been taking me at least 2-5 minutes to drill out each hole with the Champion bit and the supposedly inferior Irwin did it in less than 10 seconds. I tried contacted Champion about this issue but I received no response. I'll never buy another bit from Champion. I work with metal on at least a weekly basis so I am familiar with the proper speed and force to apply while drilling. I'm not absolutely certain what the issue is with the Champion but I can tell you I have never had so many issues trying to drill out 6 holes. A job that should have taken 30-45 minutes ended up taking me two weeks with waiting for bits to arrive and looking for a new drill.

Just What I Needed
I bought this for a simple computer case modification. I do not regret the decision to buy it.The good: The bit is sharp and in two uses has maintained its edge. I am not an expert on metals and engineering, but it seems to be a quality item. Thus far both times it has been used, the bit has cleanly cut through the thick aluminum of my custom made case. It comes with its own bit holder for storage rather than just a blister pack. I found this convenient for placing in the tool box. The size of the bit and the holder make it easy to find in the toolbox later. The smaller diameter shank enables this bit to be used on smaller drill chuck sizes though as any bit, will not fit all chucks. Ensure your drill can hold this bit before you purchase. It is a large diameter bit, even though the shank is smaller, it is also still a fairly large diameter. What could be better: I am not a metallurgist, so unless there could be some improvement there, I can find nothing that could make this a better product than it is. Readers should note, all drill bits dull after a time of use, but most can be sharpened.

Cannot recommend despite being made in USA!
The two I got were strange bits (both 21/32", one a free replacement from Amazon.) I wonder about quality control, it almost seems as if there is something wrong with the geometry of the bit. They feel sharp, and the first few holes drill fine, but after <10 holes they suddenly crap out and won't finish a hole. They still feel sharp but won't drill even 1/8" mild steel. I am experienced, use a drill press at diameter-appropriate speeds, use lots of cutting oil (Tap Magic, great stuff!), and do not force the process. Perhaps the web is too thin and is warping? Good thing for Amazon's return policy....

Good bye China. Hello USA
Another China vs. USA. I paid about the same for this single 3/4” US made bit, a I paid for a six bit Chinese set. Difference is, the USA made bit perform flawlessly in all materials, including hard steel. The Chinese ones may be good for wood and plastics, but not serious metal work. I buy the bit size I need, and gladly pay the “Champion” price, knowing I will be satisfied, instead of getting a junk set I can’t use.

Shattered on first drill
First hole i used it for was on a cast iron truck part, got about an inch into 5/8ths hole, just drilling it out bigger, and the thing caught and shattered into about 4 pieces. Only positive thing was it was rad at hell, just dissapointed i only got the hole halfway drilled
