Great fan for the Large Big Green Egg and my pizza oven. Gets temps roaring quick. Tip - Don't drop it. If you do it will break and you will need to buy a new one!

After loving this fan for 4 months now it runs slowly or not at all. I have replaced the batteries with a new pack twice and it didn't help. The seller has no support site with Amazon. This product, the Mydracas Blower is the best thing since "CHOPPED LIVER." I have been wanting to share my discovery since I got this blower about six months ago. I have owned my large BGE for 4-5 years and always been unhappy with the time necessary for the coals to sufficiently heat up to attain the necessary ash on the charcoal. To help I often used a magazine to "fan the coals" to get more oxygen. When I discovered this product I didn't hesitate ordering since it was exactly what I was looking for.I liked it so much I ordered another one for my cousin to use with her extra large BGE. Once she used it she to was sold on it and agreed it was the best and most efficient addition to the BGE.GET ONE ASAP!

Ordered this item from Amazon this past week and arrived a couple of days later. Used it for the first time this weekend and it made a huge difference in the timeline from initial BGE light to ready to cook. This weekend’s cook was a pork butt and pork ribs. Look forward to also using this blower the next time I grill steaks on the Egg in order to max out the grill temp (with fan on high). Great product…highly recommend!!

I've owned a Big Green Egg for nine years and have always had a problem with air flow. It works great with long slow cooks, but if I want to do burgers or chops or steaks, it is hit and miss whether I will have a hot enough fire to do the job.I purchased an expensive BBQ Drago - actually two of them - and they work great. They're not long lasting - I've had to replace one - and they burn through batteries really quickly, but they do help fan the flames enough to get a hot fire. But at $50+, they are not cheap.Enter the Mydracas air blower. It is inexpensive and made of plastic, so don't expose it to a lot of heat. But it fits neatly into the lower air feed of the BGE and pushes enough air into the chamber that it helps me get a good hot fire going. It takes longer than the Dragon, but for less than $20, I'm ok with that.

This is the best add on for a Green Egg grill. It makes starting a breeze when combinded with the Electric started. You can adjust the fire heat simply by increasing or lowering the fan speed. Really takes the chore out of starting up your Green Egg and managing the fire. I've only had my unit for a couple of months and have yet to change batteries, which may be its only downside. But then again, not needing to drag a power cord around while cooking is really convenient and I feel out weighs the cost of batteries every few months.
