In the Lord I Take Refuge: 150 Daily Devotions through the Psalms

I’ve done several of the psalms reading in the last few days and it’s very nice for devotional reading and not too lengthy of a devotional writing regarding each psalms. Very nice addition to my devotional time.

Amazing devotional. Its so Healthy to get a psalm in everyday and have a practical, simple, filling message with it.

I am very pleased with this book. It's made well and is a great devotional that doesn't take a long time to read. Gives a good explanation of the chapter and verses without being too wordy.

This is a standard part of my morning devotions. The full text of all 150 Psalms is accompanied with a short (1 pg or less) but powerful, Christ-centered devotion. The author knows the human heart and all the trials, pains, temptations, and more we face. And he knows the gospel: what Jesus went through to bring full salvation to needy people like us.

I have Chronic Pain and Chronic Illness. My favorite book in the Bible is Psalms. I get MUCH comfort and strength from this book everyday. I read one every day while eating my breakfast to start my day with the Lord as well as other scripture. The Psalms are numbered and then Dane Ortlund gives his commentary. His words are ALWAYS glorifying to GOD and a balm to my weary soul. I have bought this book for 2 friends dealing with cancer. Both love it and find it strengthening.

This devotional will truly awaken your mind and guide your heart!!! Its comfort in God's word in a chaotic world.

I get to the end and I start again at Psalm 1.

I love how he has written a devotional for practical use, on the psalms. I'm enjoying it very much.
