So easy to do
Been trying a lot of yoga workouts that say for beginners or seniors that have been more difficult that expected. This Gentle Yoga workout has been wonderful. I bought it over a year ago but am just now trying it during my weight loss and exercise journey. The flows are as promised - gentle - and easy for this overweight 60 year old to do. The instructor is easy to follow and offers added difficulty as you progress in the flows. Four 20-minute sessions are perfect for getting back into the routine of working out and stretching a couple of times a week. Planning on keeping this in my workout rotation.

A great deal of stretching and not much work on balance
The DVD cover says "for balance flexibility & mobility" but even though balance is listed first, I was frustrated how little of the DVD contains balance work. There's A LOT of stretching. If I'd wanted a stretching exercises DVD, this would be a good one. For balance I'm much happier with the DVD "Stronger Standing Balance with Jane Adams"

Love this video, great for someone with arthritis
Try to do this twice a week. Video is divided into four twenty minutes sessions. Doing the first three sessions for a complete one hour workout covers most if not all the major joints. Being a 76 year old male with Rheumatoid Arthritis keeping my joints flexible is important and people, including myself, are amazed with the amount of flexibility Yoga provides. This video is easy on the joints and very relaxing. One thing I really like is that she teaches the class rather than just performing the exercises accompanied by a voice order as do all other Yoga videos I have. It is more like going to a real class. The exercises are performed next to a pool and the sound of the water running into the pool during the lessons is very soothing.

Awesome yoga!
I bought this dvd along with two other Jessica Smith dvds and I love them all! I have had different yoga dvds in the past, but this one has to be one of my favorites. Some people may not like that she separates into different sections, but I appreciate it because there are times when I just want to focus on one section that day. For instance, if my neck is hurting after sleeping on it wrong, I play the neck and shoulders section and it really helps and relaxes my neck (and me!). Or if my lower back is hurting that day, I play the back and chest section, and so on. It also has helped when I'm not feeling up to doing a workout that day (especially when cramps are involved). I used to just skip exercising that day because it usually made me feel worse, but with this dvd, I don't have to skip. I play the whole dvd (every section), I get my workout in for the day, and I actually feel a little better! I would definitely recommend this dvd and will definitely be looking to buy more of Jessica Smith's dvds in the future!

Easy to follow for all levels!
My new favorite yoga workout! I always did the Yoga Zone series because they were easy to follow and modify, depending on your fitness level, but I have most of them and was looking for something new. I am so glad I tried this one! The moves are explained well , and I don't have to be looking at the TV to see what I was supposed to do next. She doesn't waste your time with a lot of yapping. I like that it is split up into 4 20 minute sessions, I don't have time for a lengthy workout. I like being able to choose what areas to focus on, I have chronic back issues, some days I'm not able to do certain moves. This covers it all in one dvd!

Jessica Produces Another Winner!
I recently purchased all four of Jessica's new DVDs--all winners--and I wanted to add some additional points that I neglected to place in my other review. There are several other features of all her new walking programs that set her apart as well: first, she explains technique perfectly! As I mentioned in my other review, I have many other exercise DVDs from top names in the field, and often I don't think the instructions are adequate; hence, injuries are more likely. You're in great hands with Jessica because she demonstrates an understanding of physiology by her clear, detailed instructions, and I feel safe with her. Second, I love the clock feature she has on all her recent DVDs. It helps you gauge your endurance as well as encourage you to make that final push when you see the time is almost over! Last, I think the price point of Jessica's DVDs are very reasonable. For $14.95 you get three 30-minute workouts. I normally pay $19.95 for two 30-minute workouts from other leading names.I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful woman who truly is revolutionizing exercise programs offered to the general public. I think if you give her a try, you will be a continuing customer.

Pricey and slow paced
It is good for an elderly person and it is simple enough maybe too simple, for me. But then again I'm an active early 60 yr old who wants beginning yoga. Back to YouTube for videos to motivate me.
