Poly-PlanarMA-5500 10x6 3-Way Rect. Platinum Ser. 140W,

This is my second pair to replace a previous pair of MA5500's that I installed 10 years ago. Speakers are installed down below inside main cabin of my sailboat. No direct sunlight nor exposure to water, other than humidity by nature of being on a boat. These speakers have two 4" drivers and a tweeter. On one speaker both 4" drivers had the foam surrounding the speaker cone distentigrate. The speaker than proceeded to rattle when ever used so it was horrible to listen to music to. Tried to get replacement drivers with no luck. The white plastic trim on the original speakers had faded and become so yellow that it looked terrible, so why rebuild ugly old speaker so I just went for a new pair. At their price point I wish they stood behind their speakers a little longer than the stated 2 year warranty. They sound fine and look great now that the new one's are in there...but don't expect them to last.
