ELEDISON (2-Pack) G4 LED Bulb Globe, 12V 24V DC, 8.2 Watt, G4 Bi-pin Base, Crystal Chandelier Cabinet Lighting (Warm White 3000K)

The electronics (rectifiers and/or inductive transformer) in this LED light cause a visible 30 Hz flicker (with 12V AC systems) which will drive you crazy or catatonic! Furthermore, the claimed 50 W equivalence is not true - I did a side-by-side 35W/50W halogen comparison, and this is AT BEST a 35W replacement (equivalent to other 7W LED bulbs you can buy for less money!). I recommend yo buy one and try it, as it might work with your AC/DC transformer, but I highly doubt it as 3 other types of LEDs I bought at Amazon.com and tried in the same fixture had NO flicker, so I would assign the LOUSY PRODUCT award to this LED bulb! Plus the price is simply ridiculously high for what you get!

These look like a great idea and they do a good job of producing light in almost every direction like a standard incandescent bulb does. However, the lumen output seems much lower than a 50 watt halogen that it's supposed to be comparable with. Also, the color temperature seems warmer that the 3000 degree kelvin I was expecting. It is a nice light, don't get me wrong, probably offers a good color rendering number too, but I wanted 3000K. Aaannnddd then there's the flickering. 😒 I'm using Tech Lighting low voltage module and whether it's that or the lamps, they flicker a bit. On a clean DC source they're probably fine. With my application, not so much.

It's not a 50w replacement. I swapped a 50w in our landscape lighting and this is noticeably dimmer. I'll try something else and put this in a fixture I don't need as bright.

Giving this 4 stars because it works as advertised, except it's not quite a 40W replacement.What I really want is a replacement bulb for light in picture. Original bulb is a 50W halogen with 940 lumen, but it doesn't need to be quite that bright. Side lights are nice for the glow, but the down lights are more important for this fixture. Fixture is for GU5.3 but I was able to fit the G4 (mm) pins to fit.

So far so good. Can't vouch for how these will work out long term but will update review if I ever have problems. Lights are very bright and give off uniform light on top and 360 degrees around.

Lousy. Flicker. Should have read review prior to purchase.

Wow, worth the wait. Fixed a customers low level light in one area of their yard. Terrific!
