This is the perfect tool for installing screws in drywall. When used for Knauf vidiwall it also does a very good job, especially when you hold the front part with one hand to prevent the screw from escaping.

This was a ''frequently bought together' suggestion when I bought a plasterboard lifter. Well, obviously other people know what they are doing. I just followed the herd. Even though the plasterboard screws came with half a dozen free drywall bits, this was worth the money and makes me wonder, over a 40 year DIY career, how long these have been a thing? I put in circa 1,000 plasterboard screws and not one stood proud or went clean through the plasterboard. A total revelation which meant I could use my impact driver and throw caution to the wind. It seems very well made and good quality and it must be magnetised because all of the screws behaved themselves and went in as straight as an arrow. Just sorry I didn't know about this 40 years ago, if indeed it was a thing.

Doesn't dimple the plasterboard as well as i thought it would.

I got one of these after trying a mates £50+ ones. Works exactly the same, better even as it's brand new. Simple to use, just use like a normal bit. I don't know how exactly the mechanism works but your drywall screw sits just below flush with the drywall every time. Spread a couple of coats of toupre over the top of the screws and you would never know they're there. And since you don't burst through the paper into the chalk you don't have issues with the toupre/youre choice of filler not adhering properly. I never noticed how strong the magnet was but don't think it matters

I've used this for approx 800 screws in my house renovation. I was doubtful about buying this after reading mixed reviews but my budget did not allow me to get a dedicated screw gun. I'm really happy with this tool. It has only caused me issues when I have my drill set on the wrong gear. If your drill has the option to change gears then choose the lower gear that makes the drill spin slower but with more torque. For my Ryobi drill, I use gear setting 1.

This is a life saving tool for plasterboard screwing. I used it on an impact driver and works a treat. After around 1000 screws now and all screws at the right depth of the plasterboard. It is a bit hard to replace the bit so I used a pair of pliers to pull it out once on the release position. Recommended.
