How is it on sheet metal

I have only tried it on drywall (it's intended purpose) and wood. It works great. I personally do not think it would well on metal as the friction from the high rpm would likely overheat and dull the cutting edge.

What size bit will fit this tool?

It comes with a 1/4" collet and also a reducer to accept an 1/8".
