After trying countless brands, this is the only one that doesn't have that weird, chemical aftertaste or chalky texture so many others do. What really sold me is the clean ingredients list: grass-fed milk protein from cows that graze freely, no soy, no artificial sweeteners/colors/flavors/preservatives, gluten-free, and sweetened naturally. It feels like a real treat rather than a "protein punishment." The taste is smooth, rich, and genuinely chocolatey—like a lighter chocolate milk or even a mild milkshake. It's creamy and satisfying without being overly sweet or heavy. Pro tip: always shake it really well before drinking (the separation is normal with clean ingredients), and refrigerate it thoroughly—it's best ice-cold, which makes it even more delicious and refreshing. It is impossible to find the "perfect" protein shake - I have tried. But in terms of overall ingredients, taste, texture, and nutrition, I would say this is as good as it gets - primarily due to the no-hormone, no-antibiotic grass-fed dairy, the low sugar content, and the absence of undesirables like guar gum, carrageenan, soy protein isolate, canola oil, aspartame, or sucralose. I also like the regular (green and white label) Orgain shakes but this version has less sugar and a higher protein content. I get both the Chocolate and the Vanilla flavors on Subscribe and Save, and alternative between the two flavors depending on the day. Overall, I think the Chocolate is the superior flavor, but the Vanilla is o.k. too. One great advantage of these shakes is that they taste good at room temperature, so you can carry them around in a backpack. I have recommended these to family members, as they are a healthier alternative to Boost or Ensure (not to mention Premier, Pure Protein, Special K, Muscle Milk, Svelte, Atkins, or Slimfast). My 85-year-old Dad ended up liking these and also has them on Subscribe and Save.

I love this delicious stuff. Just the right amount of protein. With keto diet, I usually snack on 3 or 4 of these every day. Well priced too. No GI side effects. Highly recommend.

I have just recently started drinking protein shakes. I flip flopped with the keto diet, but it isn't sustainable for me. I want to both feel more energetic and lose a bit of weight. In reading much about adding good protein to my die,t I decided to begin. Thankfully, I didn't have to search far for a delicious shake. I bought this Orgain creamy chocolate fudge, and another brand that had a peach flavor that sounded interesting. The tastes are like day and night.The peach one had an unpleasant taste. I place an Orgain shake in the freezer for 45 minutes to an hour. I get it to a slush like consistency and pour into a glass.Voila! It is both very tasty and refreshing. I am drinking one shake early in the day and am drinking another brand of straight chocolate casein power with raw milk before bed. It is the perfect combination for me. I don't feel very hungry and am choosing better meals for lunch and dinner, without unhealthy snacking.. Orgain has exceeded my expectations!! Please make this ready- to -go, non- plant based protein shake in chocolate peanut butter and I will be your most loyal customer. :) P.S. I would have given 5 stars to the price if it were just a few dollars cheaper.
