At last! A feeder strong enough to outwit Squirrels and Crows. I have tried a large number of bird feeders in the part and they have all ended up cracked, broken and distorted by intruders who have eaten all the expensive bird food inside.This feeder is marvellous, small birds can feed safely inside the bars and the birdseed is protected. I am thrilled with this item and will be purchasing another one soon. It is also a very attractive design and very strongly made. I am delighted with it.

Not squirrel proof tho

It’s a bird feeder which allows small birds to feed without being frighten off by large birds. Also it protects them from prey whilst eating.

I thought this bird feeder would be the answer to the larger birds taking all the food but not one single small bird has gone into the feeder, so an utter waste of money!!

Wanted a seed feeder that the jackdaws and crows would leave alone and thought that this one looked ideal as it had a base/tray that would stop the seeds falling onto the ground.Unfortunately after several weeks the smaller birds like tits and finches are also avoiding it! Not sure if it because of the sharp edge to the tray section. But even filled with their favourite sunflower hearts not a single bird has ventured in. So all in all slightly disappointing. Shame as it seems a sturdy build and looks great in the garden.

These are perfect for what I wanted. Really good quality, sturdy little feeders that will not allow the magpies and squirrels to take all the food! I've now ordered a third one!

Much smaller than the photos suggest, the gaps between bars are too small for anything but the smallest bird, robins and sparrows don't want to know!Filling it is hard too. You have to completely unscrew the silver knob at the top of the feeder meaning you have to take it down from its hook to fill, rather than just a removable cover as other feeders have. Just far better options than this.

I loved the shape of this feeder,and knowing bigger birds couldn't get at it. Just wish it had some wider rain protection as the seed in the bottom gets very wet. An umbrella style maybe. Hopefully the birds will start using it soon. Thank you

Die Gitterstäbe sind zu eng! Ich habe die Meißen in meinem Garten beobachtet, wie sie immer wieder versucht haben, an das Futter heranzukommen: sie versuchen den Kopf hindurchzustecken, aber es geht nicht! Würde 0 Sterne vergeben, wenn es ginge und rate dringend davon ab, den Futterspender zu kaufen.

The little birds can get inside and have a snack. The big bully birds can't. Feeder is easy to open up to clean and refill. I love it!
