They work.
With about one year of experience with these, I can say that they do work. Not 100% of the time; some plants are so interesting to the deer that unless a clip is right next to the plant (irises, hostas, and the like) the deer will get in a nibble. But far better than no protection at all, which in the past has seen those plants chewed nearly to the ground. I have about 80 of the clips in use. One caveat: you have to punch through a seal to activate the clips, and the little tool provided is awkward to use and sometimes can't punch through. I sharpened the tool, which helped, then decided to use a sharp scratch awl to break the seal (be most careful not to hurt yourself if you do this - the little tool is much safer).

Maybe some deer like garlic
I live in town yet the deer think it's one big buffet for them. I get tired of raising things to eat only to come out to find they have munched just enough of a squash or other vegetable to ruin it. Short of putting venison in the freezer, I need to find a way to deter them from choosing my garden and yard. I see these devices that claim to fend them off so I give them a try. I had a maple tree come up in a place that agreed with me so I wanted to keep it. I didn't know maple trees were on a deer's menu until they pretty much ruined it by munching the top off but I thought I could save it so I put 2 of these garlic clips on each of the remaining top stems. Didn't matter, they kept munching so I don't think there is any hope of getting a decent tree any more. I've been putting off planting other things until I could protect them with fencing or some other device as these garlic do-dads don't seem to affect them. I've even considered an electric fence or perhaps claymore mines (LOL). I have two apple trees that I've given up on so far as trying to get anything more than a few as they can reach higher than I can and I must be on their list of favorites as apples are one of their favorites for sure. Oh well.

Not to have the rabbits and deer eat my flowers
I am pleased that they are working, but I am unhappy that the scent hole that was to be opened by me they all where already opened. When I opened the package the scent of them all made me sick because of the scent holes were already broke open, you can tell that by looking into the package with out opening it.

IT'S WORKING!
It is working! I have 40 rose bushes around our house and the ones in the front are the most vulnerable to deer. Each year the deer show up and eat all of the tender new growth and severely stunts the growth of the plants. I put these on the rose bushes and I am amazed! The deer have stayed clear and the rose bushes are thriving! I have tried everything else to keep the deer away and nothing has worked. I definetly recommend this product. I did use three sticks per bush - which is overdoing it - but I was desperate for a solution. I have used only. one stick on the bushes in the back and they are thriving too. THANK YOU!

Got Rid of Apids on my petunias
I have tried everything on these things an nothing works! I had just bought beautiful hanging petunias an by day 2 they were full of them! I put the stakes in an within two days my plants were more perky an looked healthy! Just not sure how often I need to change them but well worth the money when a hanging plant cost 30 dollars a piece

These usually work with rabbits
While these can be rather "odorific"(strong garlic smell), I have found that adding them to my plantings at least at the 1st season does keep the rabbits from chowing down on them. For best results: they do need replenishing every year and I usually add at least 2 per plant. But this certainly works a lot better than every spray or granules I have tried: convenient to use on flowers, perennials, shrubs.
